Candle Light Inn

Excellent service at the front desk. Rooms are very clean. Love the location! So convenient to restaurants and shops. We didn¿t need to use our car the whole weekend as we walked everywhere.

The location was perfect. It walking distance to great restaurants and shopping.

The hotel is overpriced for what you get. I was expecting a hot tub and later found out it was another upgrade. This is misleading on the website.

Everything was perfect from check in to check out. The staff was welcoming geniuine and sweet. They continuously bake cookies and have them always available in the lobby. The fireplac, spa tub and very comfortable bed were perfect. Location was the best.

The hotel was close to town, so we walked everywhere! So nice to leave the car parked at the hotel. The room was cozy and the cookies were good. We loved the outdoor fireplace.

Walking distance to main Ocean Ave was acceptable but a few blocks. Lovely big room. Loved the firepit outside. Parking included was excellent. Cookies on arrival and discounted restaurants or free items at some partner restaurants.

Thin walls. Lots of noise from other guests before 11 pm.

We loved the location of the hotel and the landscape and fire pit. The teens enjoyed being able to walk about the town and to the different restaurants. The front desk staff was very nice and provided water, coffee and cookies in the office.

The room was awesome! Super clean, spacious, and had a fireplace and jacuzzi bathtub. They delivered a continental breakfast to your door each morning in a small cooler, which meant we didn't have to go to the lobby.

Great location! Loved the fireplace and the breakfast brought to the room each morning. The bed was extremely comfortable too!

The Candle Light Inn was quite nice with one exception:

The bathroom had no counter space or storage space (except for one small drawer under the sink) which made the bathroom very unworkable. A shame because all else was enjoyable.

They had a list of restaurants where one could get a small percentage off the meal. There was always someone in the lobby to help us. Parking was always available. We upgraded our room to have a room off the main street and one that had a couch, a fireplace, and bathtub spa which we didn't need. The condition of the room was immaculate.

I didn't like that the high price did not cover a premium room. I didn't like that there was no breakfast and the cookies they supplied instead were not baked well. The water cannisters we were given gave the water it held a nasty plastic taste. Change that before someoe gets sick.

Free parking and hotel located in the downtown so a real plus given how hard it is to find a parking spot in Carmel! We were able to check in at 1pm as the room was already ready. Great king size bed and duvet. Quiet at night.

Great location. Very nicely refurbished motel property. Nice hospitality—fresh baked cookies each day/evening, fresh fruit at front desk, filtered water, fire pit every evening. Very nicely appointed room product. Fire place, jacuzzi, big bathroom, screened windows so you can open them up.

I guess I’d say that the room is a tad on the smallish side.
