We've stayed here several times and have been happy with our rooms. The breakfast offerings are just ok. Eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, bagels, mini muffins, yogurt, toast, cereals, oatmeal, coffee, orange juice. Fruit is out of a can.

Adter traveling from Southeast TX to Branson I was thrilled to find an auto vacume on the premises. There were multiple swimming pools and a Starbucks on the premises. I also loved the wrist band door keys! Staff was super friendly and helpful.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel was centrally located to everything that I had planned on visiting.
The condo was large and more than enough room for us, we only stayed the weekend but would be great for long stays. Value was great for this time of year, but not sure I'd stay at a higher rate/busier time without it being cleaner. Location perfect
We liked how close you could park to your room! Also that we had a balcony! The rooms were a little dated, but they were fine! Kids loved the big jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. But lots of things were less that desirable.

Great location to be able to go out and do all the fun things in town! Our room was bigger than I expected. The staff over all was friendly, helped us get to the room and asked questions about house keeping, advertised pool, so maybe don¿t if it¿s closed.

Top Tips
- Secure the best rates by reserving downtown boutique inns 4 to 6 weeks ahead of major events like the Arkansas Roots Music Festival (May) and Ozark Fall Folk Fest (Oct), when rates rise 35-50%. Booking 5 to 6 weeks early keeps you within the baseline price range of $95-$130 per night. Confirm availability directly for high-demand dates.
- Save $18-$22 per $200 spent by selecting motels along US-412 (9.5% lodging tax vs 11.75% downtown). Highway access is quicker—with less than 3 minutes from exit compared to over 12 minutes from downtown. Consider requesting a room away from the road for quieter stays.
- If you work remotely, check the hotel’s Wi-Fi speed ahead: chain hotels like Holiday Inn Express average 65-85 Mbps, while independent inns deliver about 32 Mbps. Request a room near the front desk for a stronger connection, as back cabins may drop below 15 Mbps.
- To avoid extra fees of 4.2-6.8%, decline dynamic currency conversion (DCC) when paying at local gas stations or pharmacies. Pay in USD cash or use a card that does not prompt DCC for the best rate.
- For step-free access, consider Best Western Searcy Inn (1.2 miles east) or Holiday Inn Express, as only 3 of 10 historic downtown properties offer this feature. Ask specifically for zero-threshold or accessible rooms when booking.
- If staying near the Buffalo River, sign up for Boone County Emergency Alerts at alertboonecounty.com. Most weather evacuations in this area result from flash floods in low areas, and text alerts typically arrive 12-18 minutes after detection.
- Harrison’s tap water meets EPA standards and tested free of E. coli and lead (2022-2023). Refilling your bottle saves $4-$6 per week per person compared to buying bottled water.
- If booking an extended-stay hotel, check if your room has a monthly utility cap—Studio 6 limits at 800 kWh, while Candlewood Suites allows 1,500 kWh (important for summer AC). Overage is charged at $0.14 per kWh.
- For housekeeping, a tip of $2-$4 per night (average $3) is customary for daily cleaning in the U.S. Leave cash in an envelope labeled with your room number.
- During June-August, Harrison averages 3 to 5 brownouts per month. Outages last 45-75 minutes and mostly affect 15-20% of grid zones after 9 PM. Holiday Inn Express typically has generators, but elsewhere, charge devices early and carry a portable battery.
- Exploring Buffalo National River trailheads? About 60% of access roads are unpaved and may cause minor undercarriage damage. Enterprise in Harrison offers $12 per day gravel protection—confirm coverage before driving off paved routes.
- Members of AAA/CAA can combine these with Choice or Best Western loyalty programs for 10-15% extra discount at most chains in Harrison. Four out of five major chains accept both; Best Western Searcy Inn confirmed this in 2023. Holiday Inn Express does not allow stacking—verify discount eligibility before booking.
