    Pros +

    • The lobby was nice, I only saw 2 staff at front desk.
    • Easy in and out. Close to most things.
    • Most of the staff was very pleasant and helpful

    Cons -

    • They gave me a handicap room, the pillows were stained with either blood ir make up. We took pictures. There was a hair on another pillow. We checked out 1 day early.
    • Rooms were small in the B building & very outdated. Beds were hard as a rock. Asked for turn down service & never got it. Desk clerk was not personable at all. And cleaning employees were hollering up & down the halls at eachother at 7am. Not ok!!!
    • Needs some updating. Bathroom is very outdated and our heater didn’t work. Young man in the gift store kept our change as a tip without asking

I liked that it was very clean and security was great. Also, the inside restaurant and bar along with hot breakfast.

What I didn¿t like is that I would have the Do Not Disturb on my door and still the cleaning service will knock on the door.

That it had breakfast and a restaurant. However, both were very basic.

Did not expect luxury, but also didn't expect the very basic. The staff had very basic skills. The hotel is owned by Princess line, thought it would have a better presentation.

This hotel is conveniently located near Ft. Wainwright. The restaurant/bar is convenient and the food was amazing. Hotel staff are very helpful and kind. I recommend unless you like having a microwave in your room.

I didn¿t like the fact that there are no microwaves in the room.

I was a tad annoyed when I first arrived because I called prior to my arrival to confirm if my family could check in ¿early¿ since our flight got into Fairbanks at midnight January 7th even though check in is at 3pm. Sadly I was charged an extra day.

The room had an odd smell like the carpet needed to be clean. The shower made a loud noise while the water was running.

The location was convenient and the price was right

Unplugged refrigerator placed next to bed. Strong mildew smell when opened. Difficult to figure out how to turn on AC, and room very hot. AC good once on though. Hotel in general is clean but very worn.

Lobby and staff were very nice.

Hotel needs repairs, hallway wallpaper worn. Halfway through our stay saw stains on bedskirt & mattress cover that should have been washed, gross. Turned lampshade around, found coffee splattered all over it w/no attempt to clean.Carpet between beds dirty

    Beds super comfy. Location

The one breakfast restaurant. It was SUPER SLOW!!!

    10WilliamPosted on: 9-22-2021

Large hotel centrally located, free parking, free breakfast (although surprisingly no bread items). Staff was very helpful. Called when I got to Fairbanks and person stayed on phone directing me to hotel. Described ideal dinner place and they nailed it

The bathroom door was a wooden sliding door which made a lot of noise opening and closing and would wake up others in the room.

The red lantern restaurant, although not to the caliber expected based on the website, was the only positive amenity at the hotel. Rooms were nicely appointed. Lobby was very nice.

I chose this hotel because of the amenities; however most things were closed: gift shop, coffee stand, room service, bell services, any food after 9 PM. Front desk staff were clueless & unhelpful. Closing breakfast at 8:30 was incredibly inconvenient.

    The area.

The cleanliness of this hotel was a palling, the room service didn¿t even take out the garbage the two days that it¿s out there I had to personally take it out when I called a manager was not able to assist me As they had no control over the housekeeping.

I like the location of where it was located compared to where we were sightseeing. the staff was so helpful and giving us directions and ideas of where to go. can't wait to do another visit

    there wasn't anything to dislike

    10JamesPosted on: 6-26-2021

The room was clean, no foul odors and convenient to the downtown area. Check in and out was a breeze.

The hotel restaurant closes early (maybe 9pm at the latest) as did most of the dining places in the area (around 8pm).

    8Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 5-23-2021

The front desk staff were really friendly, as well as the gift shop staff. The gift shop was terrific, a wonderful selection of items & reasonably priced. I also liked the security of having to use room card to access the elevators.

The water pressure in the shower was horrible.

    9IsabellaPosted on: 3-10-2021

Security. After hours, the lobby closed and you can only get buzzed in by staff or with your key card. Also, you need a key card to go up the elevators. Made my family and I feel safe.

No microwaves, even in the suite.

    7Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 2-11-2020

The breakfast was actually very good. It exceeded my expectations.

The hotel and hotel room were just not very clean. Spots, spills, and hair everywhere in the room.

    8AmandaPosted on: 10-24-2019

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing! Multiple selections, and fresh, even close to the end of breakfast time.

The room was very nice, but our 9 month old baby found a few things on the floor, under the edges of the bed and dresser. There was an empty water bottle under the sink area, and rubber bands under the chair.
