Pros +
- It was close to the River
- It was close to the airport
- Rooms are actually small cottages, many alongside the river, with AC -- a rarity for hotels in Alaska. It was in the high 70s during my stay, so appreciated that. Clean rooms, nice staff, close to the airport.
Cons -
- Staff was confused checking me in. They needed help from management. So it took quite awhile to check in. Breakfast was 20 dollars a person.
- Old bus driver was rude. They get alot of tour bus business and treated you just like a number not a customer.
- Not the hotel's fault but newcomers to interior Alaska should know the mosquitoes there are large and vicious. Also not the hotel's fault--wild fires near Fairbanks made the air outside unbreathable.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Price was reasonable for time of year.
The cabin unit I was in, was a duplex. Walls were not insulated between units, could hear neighbors when they came in at 11 pm. Would request one of the individual units next time I stay here.
The hotel was kept up well, not run down. The rooms are all separate little cottages, nicely decorated. Very homey.
No complaints.
There was one desk clerk who welcomed us has 23 hrs when we arrived. The room was clean and adequate.
A small fridge would be an interesting asset.
The location
We booked a cabin and it wasn't available so we got a room that felt like it was directly above the boiler room with out any air conditioning.
Nice staff and convenient location to airport.
Low scale for a three star rated hotel, more like two star. Old decor, room was basic at best. Cottage faced highway, breakfast was available at a sizable up charge.
Rooms were clean & comfortable. Most of staff were very helpful.
They said they had shuttles anytime. When we got to depot, took 4 calls, every 15 min, to get an answer. Asked re being awakened for the Aurora, like all other hotels, same driver said to set alarm every 1h & look. There but missed. No frig/microwave.
Cute...relatively inexpensive.
When I rented on line, it did not tell me that the hotel was CLOSING FOR THE SEASON before I was scheduled to leave. Hence, I was stuck with no room for Friday night;-)
Cabins are cute and nice for 2 people. Shower bench was a nice surprise
The staff was friendly and courteous. The property is unique and the rooms are adequate. No iron in the room, so I had to spend forty minutes getting one from the front office.
It was too noisy. The rooms are individual "cabins" and there was a lot of activity outside our door all night long. I got a terrible nights sleep, which means I will not stay in this property again if I have a choice.
We stayed in the 'cottages'. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. The cottage was simple but charming. The beds were comfortable. We truly felt like we had our own little place. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs.
We had to wait almost 30 minutes to get checked in because of computer issues, but the staff handled it well and were able to offer us an upgrade for our inconvenience. We will definitely be back!
I loved that it was its own cottage and had its own patio.
I wish there was a refrigerator and microwave in my room. Also my sliding screen door did not lock.
Small cottage design
Carpets were dirty, didn't want to walk on it bare foot and shower had soap scum...
The cottages are cute. Location is good
I had a cold shower in the morning because their hot water heater was on the blink. Very noisy at nice with cars driving fast on the gravel
Room was clean and large.
They lack adequate hot water to the cabin. After speaking to the front desk twice I was told they were "restarting" the boiler and to wait 15 minutes to take a shower. After 30 minutes the shower water continued to be lukewarm.
Its not modern and is a bit different. Of course it's Fairbanks Alaks and that is par for the course. Despite the dated layout of the rooms, the place was spotless and the rooms were surprisingly comfortable.
That the cottage was its own building.
There were only 14 channels on the tv, 3 of which didn't work. There was no fridge or microwave, which was a bummer. And the internet was some of the worst we have ever had. We were there for work and couldn't even get anything done. Major disappointment.
