Cheap, but very bare bones. Shuttle service to airport. The Staff was super nice.
Nice daytime staff at this hotel. Close location to the airport. Problems came early the next morning.

It was an inexpensive hotel. It was clean, had a good breakfast and the elevator worked better than most budget European hotels. The shower and bathroom was new and modern.

I was surprised to learn that this hotel is located far outside of the city of Budepest and is more than the 9 miles listed from the airport. The hotel is lovely, but the surroundings are quite industrial.

Hotel is in horrible shape. When we approached the property we thought that building is abandoned. Pealing off paint, dirty windows and overall looked like nobody lived there for ages!!!! Parking that was promised-the paddle of mud across the street!!!

The beds were comfortable. I have back problems and hard beds are very difficult for me to sleep on. The breakfast was also very nice.

Its location
Really nothing
The staff was friendly enough to meet our request to change the room where we stayed for two nights and where an air condition didn't work. They accommodated us in another room, much better with working air condition where we stayed for one more night.

Top Tips
- Reserve your Budapest hotel at least 2-3 months ahead, as spring and summer festivals quickly fill top properties. Advance booking typically secures lower rates and a wider selection; compare prices regularly, as rates may change with local events.
- Choose a hotel location based on your plans. Airport hotels are within 2 km of BUD for early flights, while central Pest and Buda hotels place you within 16 km (10 mi) of the airport and near sites like Parliament or the Danube promenade.
- When arriving at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport (BUD), use the 100E Express bus to reach city center hotels in 35-40 minutes for 1,500 HUF (about $4 USD). Rideshares and official taxis, such as Főtaxi and Bolt, typically cost 8,000-15,000 HUF (approx. $22 to $41 USD) to downtown.
- Expect to pay a local city tax, 'IFA,' at check-out. Budapest hotels usually add a 4% charge based on your room rate, paid onsite and often not shown in your initial online booking price. Verify your final bill to ensure the tax is included correctly.
- Have your passport or official ID ready for check-in, as Hungarian law requires hotels to register all guests' identification. Preparing documentation ensures an efficient arrival process.
- Show respect and enhance your stay by learning a few Hungarian phrases. While staff often speak English, greetings like 'jó napot' (good day) and 'köszönöm' (thank you) are appreciated by locals.
- Tipping is standard in Budapest hospitality. Allocate 10-15% for restaurants, porters, and housekeeping, with gratuities typically left in person or added on card terminals.
- Observe quiet hours starting at 22:00 (10 PM), which is customary in Budapest hotels and residential areas. This practice helps ensure restful nights for all guests.
- Most Budapest hotels provide free Wi-Fi, but confirm inclusion at booking as speeds may differ by property. Pack a Type C or F power adapter for 230V sockets (two round pins).
- Keep passports and electronics secure by using your room safe. This reduces the risk of loss when visiting crowded sites or traveling on busy tram lines, since pickpocketing can occur in areas like Váci Street.
- Explore local breakfast options, as many hotels serve Hungarian classics such as pogácsa (savory scone), kolbász (sausage), or túró rudi (sweet cheese snack). Ask staff for ingredient and allergy information if needed.
- Request accessibility features or dietary options in advance. Contact the hotel early to confirm step-free access, cribs, or special meals, since supplies and adaptations may be limited, especially at airport hotels.
- Entry requirements can change; as of 2024, national COVID-19 rules are lifted, but some hotels may have mask or hygiene policies. Check gov.hu and your hotel's own website for the latest guidelines before departure.
