What a magical, classy stay in a well-located, well-priced friendly hotel. They make you feel like royalty from the first moment you enter & continue to cater to your every whim whilst there. Rooms are quiet, functional and large. Great water pressure!
Since we arrived we loved the smell and how clean the hotel was. The first night there was a weird noise from the AC, we informed them and promptly they upgrade our doom to an amazing suite.. I highly recommend this hotel. Staff and location were aweso
Convenient and safe location, attentive and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room; loved having an espresso coffee machine available in the room; the bathroom had a heated floor as well as warming racks for the towels.

The hotel was in a good location close to public transportation, cafes, and restaurants. The lobby was beautiful and the breakfast was an added value. The rest of the hotel is a bit boring. The standard room was too small so I paid for an upgrade.
The rooftop pool was a plus, with plenty of seating. The sauna and gym were not the biggest but were nice. Felt secure and our room was always clean when we returned. Helpful staff at the front desk. Great location - walking distance to so much.
Lovely lobby. Room very comfortable and well appointed. Bar is lovely (but didnt discover it till last day - it's on the mezzanine floor). HVAC didnt work the first day- superb service recovery by staff to repair (chocolates delivered form my trouble).

Top Tips
- Always confirm step-free or elevator access in advance. Over 50% of central Budapest hotels, especially in districts V–VII, are in converted 19th-century buildings and may lack lifts, requiring use of narrow stairs for luggage. Request written confirmation regarding accessibility from your hotel before arrival.
- The 100E airport express bus connects Budapest Airport to Deák Ferenc tér in 35-40 minutes and requires a dedicated 2,200 HUF ticket (not valid with standard BKK passes). This direct service typically saves 8,000-12,000 HUF versus taxis, which may lack official meters. Buy 100E tickets at airport vending machines or BKK desks.
- Budapest tap water is EU-certified as drinkable throughout the city. Refilling reusable bottles from hotel taps or public fountains can save over 400-800 HUF per bottle compared to repeat purchases, and it also reduces plastic waste.
- For card payments, always select Hungarian Forint (HUF) at checkout. Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) markups may add 3-8% in hidden costs. Local hotel bills and shop prices are listed in HUF, so double-check the payment screen before confirming.
- If booking in District VII’s Jewish Quarter, where bars cluster along Kazinczy utca and Gozsdu Udvar, request a courtyard-facing or upper-floor room. Nightlife noise can reach over 70 dB until 02:00, but higher floors or rear-facing rooms are much quieter.
- Hotel rates can rise up to 40% during the August Sziget Festival and Christmas market weekends in late November–December. Secure your room several months in advance near central venues; last-minute stays are often sold out or significantly more expensive.
- Check written details about hotel spa or public thermal bath access and fees. Properties near Széchenyi or Gellért baths may charge guest-only fees (typically 8,000-12,000 HUF per entry) or require advance slot reservations, especially on weekends. Confirm policies before your visit.
- Compare prices on local OTA Szallas.hu for pensions and apartments. Smaller guesthouses often list rooms here for 15-20% less than on global booking sites. Always verify cancellation and payment conditions before booking.
- Hungary uses 230V, 50Hz mains electricity and standard Type C/E/F sockets (continental Europe). Bring an adapter if your devices have UK, US, or other non-EU plugs to ensure compatibility.
