The Ferihegy hotel is located in quiet surroundings, a 10-minute drive from Budapest Airport. It offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms, free parking and a 24-hour reception. Pros +
- Close to the airport with an Airport shuttle
- Cheap, but very bare bones. Shuttle service to airport. The Staff was super nice.
- Nice daytime staff at this hotel. Close location to the airport. Problems came early the next morning.
Cons -
- Though the location was good, the atmosphere was not very inviting. There was no landscaping. There were a few picnic tables outside, but they were surrounded with parking lots with many cars that were involved in accidents. There was no peaceful place .
- Hard, uncomfortable mattress. Tiny room. No easy option for lunch or dinner. (Nothing within walking distance) Noisy (thin walls and doors) to get to the city need a cab, either to the airport or subway. No hot water in the evening. (Was fine at 6am)
- The man driving us at 4:00 AM (tall fat guy with glasses) tried to scam me by saying I hadn't paid. He was looking to run my credit card again. I was firm, saying I had paid. He later said he "found" me in the computer. Can NOT recommend this hotel.
