The room size is great and breakfast was good too!
Close to everywhere we wanted to go and everything we wanted to do. We will make this hotel our regular stay in Scottsdale.
The staff was very kind and helpful

Staff was courteous.
Close to the highway, very quiet, near restaurants so you can walk, great pool(saline), hot breakfast is excellent. Since the weather was so warm, 115 degrees, there were games to play such as pool, connect four or battleship.
I loved the space we had for the price, the breakfast sandwich was yummy and fresh, pool was nice, didn¿t get to workout but the fitness room had a lot of nice options. I appreciated the water bottle station, we were able to refill our bottles before lvn

The environment!
Friendly staff. Walkable to restaurants. I appreciated being given option to stay in quieter section of hotel.
Great amenities, esp pool with DJ and bar service (fun!); rooms were lovely with a super cool comtemporary vibe. Very comfortable beds, heavy drapes, excellent use of space and decor. Staff were wonderful.

Honestly, I didn't like anything about the hotel. The front of the house staff were disorganized, the resort fee for a 12-hour stay was exorbitant, and there were no food options other than overpriced burgers and no elevator.
Location, private quiet landscaping, unique decor touches, daily yoga and free bikes, wonderful pool with pool bar, Canal Club bar, Private balcony
It smelled so good in the hotel and I loved the ambiance! I also really loved the free shuttle into town.

Location near everything in Phoenix. And even walking distance to grocery stores, lots of shops and restaurants.
The handicap accessible bathroom rates as one of the best we have had at a hotel. Roll in shower, well-placed grab bars, and plenty of room! Also, the pool and patio area is a lovely oasis. It¿s not huge or extravagant, but it is lovely and well kept.

Learn about the top neighbourhoods of Paradise Valley
This fast-growing area puts visitors within easy reach of the nearby, strikingly modern Taliesin West, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Head to Scottsdale Commons if you're in the mood for a little shopping. Scottsdale Airpark is where you'll find the regional headquarters for many international corporations. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is about 25 miles southwest.
Made up of walkable neighborhoods, unique shops, art galleries, museums and beloved eateries, this vibrant heart of the city offers its fair share of historic charm and modern living. The Old West meets the New West here, as evidenced by the area's Scottsdale Fashion Square (a sprawling two million-square-foot retail area heralded as the state's largest mall), as well as Scottsdale Stadium, the spring training home of the San Francisco Giants, located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale.
Perched north of downtown Scottsdale, this golf-heavy area is also home to the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, the spring training base for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies. The Pavilions at Talking Stick is a 1.1 million-square-foot retail center with open-air shopping, dining and entertainment.

How far in advance should I book?
6 days prior, prices drop to just over $90 in Paradise Valley.
In Paradise Valley, hotel prices exhibit significant variation as the check-in date approaches. About three weeks prior, often the best hotels are already fully booked, leading to lower availability of quality accommodations. Prices generally decline post-20 days due to remaining lower-tier options trying to attract last-minute bookings. For example, around 6 days prior, prices may drop to just over $90, while 0 days prior, prices hover around $125.60, indicating a slight last-minute price increase likely due to demand. High-quality hotels maintain higher prices or become unavailable closer to check-in.
Frequently Asked Questions
Top Tips
- Book luxury resorts 90-120 days in advance for rates that are typically 15-30% lower. Peak-season (December-April) rates at resorts such as The Phoenician or Sanctuary Camelback Mountain increase 15-30% within 60 days of your stay. Booking at least 120 days out offers the lowest published rates, especially during major events or holidays.
- Choose non-resort properties to avoid daily resort fees, which are charged by about 75% of Paradise Valley resorts at $35-$65 per day. Boutique inns or vacation rentals often have no such fees and may provide more personalized service. For example, Hotel Valley Ho in nearby Scottsdale does not charge a resort fee; check if loyalty members can negotiate waived fees.
- Confirm step-free access explicitly since fewer than 20% of luxury properties are fully ADA-compliant. Only 18% of Paradise Valley hotels list step-free rooms. Request accessible features such as zero-entry pool access, elevator proximity, or visual alarms for hearing needs. Contact the property to confirm elevator dimensions or accessible bathroom features if required.
- Use local ATMs to avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC), as paying with foreign cards via DCC increases costs by 5-8%. When paying at hotels, decline DCC and select USD. Bank branches such as Chase or Wells Fargo in Scottsdale (5 miles away) typically offer the lowest foreign transaction fees, averaging $2.50 per withdrawal. Look for in-lobby ATMs at major resorts or use these nearby bank locations to minimize fees.
- Travelers unfamiliar with desert climates should avoid June-August unless heat-adapted. Pool-centric stays in this period typically cost 35-45% less, but daytime highs exceed 105°F (40.5°C) and reach averages of 110°F (43°C) in July. If booking for discounted summer rates, confirm that your property provides shaded outdoor spaces and in-room climate controls.
- Select hotels featuring solar shading or misting systems, as these reduce midday air-conditioning demand by 20-30%. Properties like Sanctuary Camelback Mountain install exterior shade structures that improve room comfort during frequent heat advisories from May to September. Many luxury resorts use misting systems for guest comfort around pools and patios.
- Tipping 18-20% is standard for concierge and spa services at Arizona luxury hotels, while tipping below 15% is considered low locally. Both cash and card tips are accepted. Include valet, spa, dining, and housekeeping in your tipping plan.
- If working remotely, confirm Wi-Fi speed before booking. Most hotels provide 75 Mbps or higher, but Four Seasons Scottsdale and Hotel Valley Ho offer more than 200 Mbps in business centers. Ask if premium Wi-Fi is complimentary or paid and request a room near business hubs for the most consistent connection.
- Prioritize properties with filtered pool systems, which reduce chlorine sensitivity in low-humidity conditions (average 20-30%). Resorts with saltwater or UV-filtered pools, such as The Phoenician and Royal Palms Resort, report 30% fewer guest complaints. Consider these options if you have sensitive skin or respiratory concerns.
- Avoid booking during event weekends, as major events such as the Barrett-Jackson auctions or Waste Management Phoenix Open increase hotel rates in Paradise Valley by 50-70%. These events draw visitors nationally, leading to rate spikes and 6+ month advance bookings. Check event calendars on VisitPhoenix.com to avoid peak demand dates.
- Request bottled water in your room, as Phoenix tap water contains over 250 ppm total dissolved solids, noticeably higher than the U.S. average of 120 ppm. Many luxury hotels provide complimentary bottled water at check-in or during turndown service, as about 30% of guests report dislike for local tap water taste.
- Stack AAA or CAA membership rates with eligible corporate rates for a combined 10-15% discount at some Paradise Valley hotels, such as Marriott affiliates near the city border. Confirm eligibility requirements and call hotels directly to verify whether stacking applies, especially during high-demand dates.
