Excellent location, 1 block from Thames st. An 1700's inn in historic section room was small but fine for sleeping. Not going to win any decorating awards but gets the job done unless you like hanging out in your room.

The location is walking distance to a good portion of the seaport. The staff was exceptional. Someone was waiting for us when we arrived to help direct us on where to park. They were very welcoming and helpful with directions.
If you're not traveling with a car, the location is great - very close to the ferry, bus station, and plenty of shops and restaurants. Otherwise, there's nothing to recommend this hotel - this was among the worst travel experiences I've had.

the customer service was AMAZING. Upon check-in the innkeeper spent about 30 minutes with me going over the layout of the town, locations of places I wanted to visit and suggestions for other places to go/restaurants to try.
Location to waterfront and staying in a neighborhood of early American homes was cool. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was good.

The perfect place to stay in Newport. We had the Veranda Room, the smallest room at the Inn, but it was quaint & cozy. Unfortunately the fireplace didn¿t work but that was fine, the room was not cold in early June. Morning breakfasts were the highlight!

The best part about the Artful Lodger was our wonderful host. He served as both Innkeeper and (breakfast) Chef. He helped with our bags and gave tips for things to do in Newport. Breakfast was above restaurant quality! Great trip and I recommend!

This was a great B&B experience. Even after reading reviews online, not always sure what to expected. My biggest thing is cleaningless and I was completely satisfied on that side. It's an older house, very well kept and super charming. Great location too!

This is a quaint hotel in an excellent location in Newport. The hotel felt like you stepped back in time but we enjoyed that about it. If you want super modern, this is not the place for you. The breakfast and tea time were excellent.
Breakfast was great. The location was walking distance from Gansett Cruises (great tour) and the room was quaint and comfortable. There is also a rooftop patio. You have to climb to the 4th floor to access it.

Nothing!Did not stay at the Wyndham due to all the reasons checked. I was placed in the annex building which had NO PARKING and would have to travel back & forth to main building for any amenities which was impossible with toting two children and luggage.

Upgrades to the hotel room's furnishings, its location and friendly/accommodating staff were what I liked most about the hotel. Also the morning breakfast and staff were outstanding.

Comfortable bed, nice big bathroom, excellent amenities! Complementary water, coffee, tea, oj & milk with lovely pastries and fruit yogurt every morning! Didn't interact with staff except for check in, but they were extremely pleasant. Great location!

The location was convenient yet quiet for sleeping at night. The staff was attentive and helpful. The room was in a separate small building rather than the main building next to the parking lot so less curb appeal.

Meh. For the price I would have expected more. This felt mid/average but not worth $--- for a single night and a decent hot breakfast should have been included at this price point.
