Location, cleanliness, modern.
I love the location and I definitely appreciate the price. I hope to go back to Washington DC for the cherry ¿¿ blossom festival. The coffee shop was just what the doctor ordered. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Close enough to the red line to get to meeting and downtown for a better price than hotel chains. The unique decor gives a more homey feel than the sterile decor of many chain hotels. The lobby cafe serves an excellent breakfast.
Room design is minimalist and stylish, unlike typical hotel rooms. Within walking distance to Union Market.

Arrived early and was able to check in. The room was very spacious, had a full kitchen behind closed doors. The room also had a dressing area and workspace. The area was convenient, a bit to the side of things. Staff was pleasant.

Good location for our conference @ JW. Walking distance to Washington Mnmnt and Lincoln Mmrl, also nextdoor to CVS; but not many food options. We ordered Uber Eats a few nights. Starbucks is 2 blocks away Dunkin Donuts 1 block away.

Frequently Asked Questions
Top Tips
- Choose Reagan National Airport (DCA) for the fastest access to downtown hotels. The Metro Yellow and Blue Lines connect DCA to central Washington in about 10-20 minutes. Taxis or rideshares typically cost $15 to $35 one way during off-peak hours, so confirm options for late arrivals. Many major hotels are located within a few blocks of the Metro.
- If you arrive at Dulles International Airport (IAD), budget 40-60+ minutes to reach downtown by Metro Silver Line or road. Taxi or rideshare fares from IAD are generally $60 to $90 one way, and travel times can increase during peak hours. Pre-arrange ground transport if landing late or with heavy luggage.
- Flying into BWI Airport? MARC and Amtrak trains connect BWI Rail Station to Union Station in 35-45 minutes. Train fares are often more economical and can be faster than rideshares during rush hour. Check schedules for late-night or weekend arrivals.
- For the Cherry Blossom season, hotel rates can rise 50-150% from late March to early April, especially near the National Mall. Secure your booking 60-90 days in advance for best availability and value during the festival.
- On Nationals Park home game nights, hotels in Navy Yard may see rate spikes of 25-75%. Consider staying one Metro stop away (such as L'Enfant Plaza) to find steadier prices and avoid late-night congestion around the park.
- Georgetown does not have a Metro station; expect a 12-25 minute (0.6-1.2 mile) walk from Foggy Bottom-GWU or Rosslyn stations. For accessibility or heavy luggage, plan for a city bus or rideshare to your hotel.
- When booking historic or boutique hotels in neighborhoods like Dupont Circle, Georgetown, or Capitol Hill, request an accessible or elevator-equipped room if mobility is a concern. Many historic properties have stairs and limited step-free access.
- Washington Metro service typically runs 5:00-midnight Sunday-Thursday and later on weekends. If arriving or departing outside Metro hours, plan for taxi or rideshare, which may cost more late at night. Verify hotel lobby hours for late check-in.
- DC tap water meets EPA standards and is safe to drink. Many hotels provide filtered pitchers for added convenience. Consider bringing a reusable bottle to stay hydrated while exploring.
- During major federal events like the Inauguration, expect hotel security checks and possible temporary closures, especially near the National Mall. Bring photo ID, allow extra time for arrivals, and consider hotels outside the immediate Mall area for smoother access.
