The hotel's location is great. It is a few feet from one of the busiest Metro stations in the greater DC area subway system. Within walking distance are several restaurants, including at least two that offer a rooftop view, allowing one to see the beauty of DC's architecture from a bird's eye view. The room was comfortable, with a firm mattress and amenities that included a microwave and a small refrigerator. With a 7-Eleven store next door, you can get munchies on the cheap. If you want pizza, Dominos is also next door, and for burgers Five Guys is across the street. The area feels safe and appears to be one the sections of DC that has had a comeback during Mayor Bowser's tenure.Kudos to all the staff, be they front desk/check-in, street level baggage and security, the restaurant cooks and servers, and the cleaning staff. Special kudos to the latter for keeping the room and the common areas spotless.
I really have to nitpick. I always wonder why hotels offer guests one small bar of soap. However, I asked for and got more soap. The room had two bottles of water that each cost $8.00. If one is not careful, they will think the bottles are complimentary. They are not.I stayed on the hotel's fourth floor for the second time in two months. The ice-making machine on the fourth floor remains out of order. This Marriott has a restaurant with rather limited menu option. However, there is another Marriott within walking distance that has two restaurants on premises, and both have a nice array of menu items.

Nice Hotel
Stated breakfast was included and I got charged for it the second day after the first day when they tried to say parking was included, even though my reservation clearly stated breakfast.

The room was comfortable and spacious. We appreciated the microwave, refrigerator, and coffee machine. The staff friendly and helpful. The location wonderful. Especially nice is that a METRO station is only a 1/2 block away. Lots of casual eating places are nearby. A Trader Joe's is close.
The menu options were very limited. The ones we tried were not appetizing. Too much is fried. Soups would be nice.

The hotel is in a great spot — the metro and main station are just steps away, which makes it very handy for getting all over the city. Despite being right next to the train line, the rooms are impressively quiet and the soundproofing works well. The beds are really comfortable and I slept very well.
That said, a couple of things were surprising. The bathtub is honestly the smallest I’ve ever seen in any bathroom anywhere in the world — more of a token than a usable tub. And I was shocked that in 2025 the public restrooms in the hotel still don’t have a baby-changing station. For a modern property, this is unheard of and really should be addressed.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location was also perfect: very close to public transportation and a charming neighborhood with great food and things to do.
Honestly, nothing.

A big modern hotel with 24/7 reception and lots of facilities like a bistro, a laundry valet service and a gym. The atmosphere was one of a business hotel, so efficient but impersonal - and this service was ok. I suppose you could say it was a typical Marriott hotel, so streamlined for high volumes of guests, and high quality. The staff were helpful and attentive. The menu at the bistro was excellent and breakfasts were plentiful.
The air-conditioning in the room turned itself on with the grunting and grinding sound of a old diesel train (the compressor was the problem, the fan was ok). The alternation of this loud noise followed by silence when the desired temperature was reached and the unit turned itself off disturbed my rest and I couldn't sleep properly. After a few nights I requested and got a room change and conditions improved considerably - although the compressor was noisy but so bad in that room too.
