The whole thing. Breakfast is exceptional. The No Shuttle was a disappointment.
It was close to the airport and the price was reasonable. LaQuinta’s are usually nice, this one was not.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The keys did not work initially after check in. Had to go back down to desk for a second try. Also booked a King room...did not get a king room. Great place if you just need a bed and a shower.

Good location, quite new but poorly designed. Towels were wonderful. There was seriously 1/4 inch of space between bathroom door and sink enclosure. Breakfast was very-y-y-y lacking on first day, worse on second day.

The breakfast
Where the hotel is located is central to what we needed, the breakfast was good with no complaints, and the price of the room was great.
Nothing disgusted by this business nickle and dining guests by charging $10 parking hidden in the small print. Will never patronage another Hilton on property because of this inconvenience and disgrace of a policy upon paying customers.

Comfortable, large, clean rooms, excellent staff.
The breakfast is wonderful - many items to choose from and a large area to eat. The rooms that are suites are very comfortable and spacious to spread out. The staff was very friendly and the front desk always had a staff member there. Plenty of parking.

Top Tips
- Rates near Arizona State University (ASU) rise sharply during home football games, May graduation, and Fall move-in. Book hotels 6-12 weeks in advance to secure better choices, as last-minute options may require multi-night stays or higher rates.
- Valley Metro light rail offers reliable transit from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport to central Tempe for $2 per ride (about €1.85; verify current rates). The trip takes 20-30 minutes, which is significantly lower cost than surge-priced ride-hailing. Trains stop near major hotels along Mill Avenue and Veterans Way.
- Downtown Tempe hotels generally charge $15-$35 per night for on-site or valet parking (approx. €13-€32). These fees are rarely included in room rates. To keep your budget in check, compare hotel parking rates to nearby public garages, especially for longer stays.
- Nightlife noise on Mill Avenue peaks from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Thursday through Saturday. For quieter stays, request a higher-floor room facing away from Mill Avenue or ASU and confirm availability during booking.
- From June to August, Tempe temperatures frequently reach 100-110°F (38-43°C), and July-September brings dust storms and monsoon rain that can disrupt travel. Schedule arrivals during cooler hours and allow extra time for possible delays.
- Tap water in Tempe meets EPA safety standards but can taste mineral-heavy. If you have taste sensitivities or skin concerns, bring a refillable bottle with filter to minimize purchasing bottled water.
- Large events like the Tempe Festival of the Arts (March) or Town Lake gatherings increase hotel demand. Shifting your arrival or departure by even one day can lower nightly rates and help you avoid minimum-stay restrictions.
- Most downtown or ASU-adjacent hotels offer accessible rooms and elevator access, but motels along Apache Boulevard may not. If you need features such as roll-in showers or are relying on public transit, confirm hotel accessibility and proximity to Valley Metro stops when booking.
- During summer, ask the hotel to check air conditioning before arrival. Requesting a higher-floor room can also support cooling, as equipment performs more reliably above ground level when exterior temperatures exceed 100°F (38°C).
