The staff was great and the game/activity room was nice. Though some things were missing like the ball for the foosball table and the air hockey wouldn’t turn on. But everything else worked and was great.
It was so nice and clean and everything worked, and the staff went out of their way to provide an extra special continental breakfast.

The location is all it has going for it….we didn’t even get the room that was advertised as a jacuzzi tub room because when we arrived and had already paid online, the guy said they haven’t had a jacuzzi room in over 3 years! Very disappointed!

Charming historic hotel that?s solidly built and well-kept. Great amenities and a super comfy bed ? perfect for a restful night after traveling.
Fireplace in my room. Really nice amenity. The refrigerator had a small freezer which i need for medication. Most hotels these days have a refrigerator but very few actually have a freezer.

Location was good, room was all we needed.
The only good thing about this hotel is how close it is to downtown. Within walking distance.
This hotel was in the perfect location. It was walking distance to all the cute shops and restaurants in town. It is definitely an older hotel but the staff work hard to keep it updated. Staff at the front desk was so nice and helpful.

Convenient to a conference I was attending. I was lucky to get a room.
The room was great. It?s located not far from Ft. Carson. The outside doesn?t look like the inside. So I was a bit apprehensive at first. But once inside it?s beautiful. Hotel employee and staff was amazing and helpful.

Top Tips
- Plan for 24-48 hours of altitude acclimatization when you arrive, as Cripple Creek sits at 9,494 feet (2,893 m), and some travelers experience altitude sickness symptoms. To reduce discomfort, limit strenuous activity and go easy on alcohol during your first day. Some hotels provide complimentary bottled water for guests upon check-in—ask at the front desk to support hydration.
- Fly into Colorado Springs Airport (COS) for a faster 45-60 minute transfer to Cripple Creek, compared to 2-2.5 hours from Denver International (DEN). Major hotel brands may help arrange local shuttle pickups if you request this at least 24 hours before arrival.
- If visiting November through April, reserve a vehicle with all-wheel drive or winter tires and carry tire chains, since icy mountain road conditions are common. Add 20-40 minutes of travel time for winter driving on CO-24. Hotel front desks can provide local weather and road condition updates before your trip.
- Choose a hotel room on a higher floor, away from casino areas, to reduce late-night noise. Most large Cripple Creek hotels are connected to casinos that often operate 24/7, so specify your preference when booking or at check-in.
- Sign up for a casino players’ club or hotel rewards program to access room discounts and dining credits; savings may reach up to 15% off published rates. Ask reception how gaming or hotel spend converts to complimentary amenities.
- Pre-arrange ground transportation, as rideshare coverage is limited and public transit runs infrequently, especially after peak hours. Book a rental car or contact your hotel to reserve an airport shuttle or verified taxi, and confirm rates in advance.
- Check Wi-Fi speed and workspace options before booking if you need to work remotely. Contact the hotel to confirm Mbps ratings, quiet-hour policies, and availability of business rooms with a desk. Ask if printing services or meeting spaces are available.
- If you require step-free access or ADA features, call your hotel ahead to request an accessible room with ramp access, visual alarms, and ADA bathroom features. Many historic Cripple Creek hotels have stairways and older elevators—verify luggage assistance and confirm accessible arrival routes.
- Request a complete nightly price breakdown including state and local taxes plus any facility fees, since online booking rates may only show the base rate. Confirm the total charge with hotel staff before paying to avoid unexpected costs at checkout.
