The pictures in your website does not reflects the views from the hotel. The staff is very impolite. Your website is misleading in explaining the city taxes are not included and that the parking is an amenity without any indication of the cost. 42$ per da
Clean, well appointed, great location.
Top notch! White elephant restaurant was outstandingly delicious. Get the breakfast buffet; absolutely delicious and worth the advanced discounted price.

Top Tips
- Book 6-12 weeks in advance for major Zurich events like the Street Parade (late August) or Zurich Film Festival (late September). Central hotels typically reach capacity early, so last-minute availability is limited. To secure your preferred location, check hotel event cancellation policies before booking.
- Choose hotels within a 10-15 minute walk of Zürich Hauptbahnhof (HB) or on direct tram lines, especially if you need rapid airport access, as direct trains reach HB from the airport in just 10-15 minutes. For added comfort, confirm in advance whether your hotel offers a ticketed airport shuttle or can arrange private transfers.
- Zurich’s municipal tap water is potable and meets Swiss drinking standards, so you can decline bottled water in-room to save per-night incidental costs and reduce plastic use. Some hotels provide refill stations or glass carafes; ask at the front desk.
- City or tourist tax is usually charged per person per night at check-in, not always included in online rates. Travelers on business should ask if they are eligible for a tax exemption; documentation may be required.
- Langstrasse has Zurich’s highest concentration of bars and clubs, leading to late-night noise. For quieter nights, select hotels east of Bahnhofstrasse or close to Lake Zurich, typically 800 m-1.5 km from nightlife zones.
- Bring a Type J (Swiss standard) power adapter; Europlug Type C also works in many cases. Do not expect multiple USB charging ports, especially in older buildings, and confirm with your hotel if in-room charging options are essential.
- When paying by card, always select Swiss Francs (CHF) billing to avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) markups of 2-6%. Visa and Mastercard are accepted nearly everywhere, but American Express is less common; verify with your hotel if using alternative cards.
- Business hotels near Zürich HB or the airport typically advertise 24/7 lobby workspaces and higher-speed Wi-Fi, making them more suitable for work travelers than smaller guesthouses. For specific bandwidth or printing services, request details from the property before arrival.
- Older hotels in Zurich’s Old Town may not have elevators, so request a ground-floor or accessible room with step-free access if mobility is a concern. Confirm accessibility amenities directly with your chosen hotel, especially in historic buildings.
- Hotel breakfasts in Zurich often cost CHF 20-35 (approx. $22-$39 USD) per person unless included in your rate. Compare rates between booking platforms and direct hotel bookings to avoid duplicate charges and ensure breakfast inclusion.
