Staff, location and price
The employee in charge of the breakfast area was very friendly and welcoming.

The room had everything we needed. Often there's no luggage rack, sofa bed makes the desk/table inaccessible, towel racks are inadequate or nonexistent, nowhere to sit. Little things that really make a room comfortable or not. This room had them all.
Great location and one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in.

Able to take my wife from room to The Slate for breakfast each morning. She's got Alzheimers and it was just easier to eat at the hotel. We even had "room service" our last night there. Oh...I make Eggs Benedict each morning because she wants it.

Top Tips
- Prioritize hotels at I-15 exits to save 8-15 minutes on travel versus downtown Spanish Fork. These clusters offer 15-25 minute (12-20 mile) drives to Provo or US-89 attractions, making them efficient for regional day trips. Check live traffic conditions during event weekends to optimize your route.
- Expand your search radius by 15-25 minutes (approx. 9-20 miles) north to Provo or Springville to access a significantly larger hotel inventory and more full-service options. This area includes a greater selection of major brands that offer loyalty programs and rooms with dedicated workspace. Consider exploring local dining and cultural venues in Provo for added amenities.
- Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is about 55-75 miles north; allow 55-75 minutes by car depending on traffic. Rental cars or private transfers are more reliable than local transit or late-night rideshares for this route. Confirm your car rental hours or prebook transfers for arrivals after 22:00, and check if your hotel offers shuttle service.
- Book 2-6 weeks in advance for weekends or during popular Spanish Fork events like Fiesta Days, as hotel supply is smaller than in nearby Provo. Same-day availability is very limited during peak demand periods. Consider signing up for hotel or event alerts, or hotel waitlists during busy local events.
- Spanish Fork sits at an elevation of 4,500-4,700 ft with a dry climate. Bring sunscreen, stay hydrated, and request a room humidifier if sensitive to dry air; many properties can accommodate this. Mid-upscale hotels may provide bottled water or in-room hydration options.
- Rideshare and car rental options become limited in Spanish Fork after evening hours. To avoid delays, prebook pickups for late arrivals or arrange hotel shuttle service where available. Common rideshare apps such as Uber or Lyft can be used, but scheduling ahead is recommended.
- Expect standard US payment practices, with most hotels and businesses accepting USD and chip-enabled cards. To avoid extra fees, choose to pay in USD (not foreign currency) at point-of-sale terminals and ATMs. Many top hotel chains also accept contactless payments.
- Many Utah hotels use linen reduction programs during drought months. Check during booking whether towel and sheet changes are automatic or opt-in so you know what to expect for room refresh frequency. Guest participation in conservation helps support local water resources.
