This hotel does not have the normal appearance of most hotels lends itself more to a condo.Seems as though it may have been fancier at one time but the cleanliness and the professionalism of the staff was lacking.
The location of this hotel is amazing, and the decor was charming. The woman who worked at the Marina shop and sells gift items is very kind and friendly.
The hotel was beautiful, full of vibrant colors and beautiful furniture. The nearby harbor added a serene backdrop to a cozy experience. It was very soothing to watch the boats sailing in and out of the harbor.

Top Tips
- Book at least 90 days in advance of the March Charleston Wine + Food Festival to save up to $275 per night. Rates at Mount Pleasant hotels increase by 55-65% during festival dates; check if hotels provide direct festival shuttles or special amenities.
- Confirm your total hotel tax is 9%, not 7%, by reviewing your reservation summary or final bill. Berkeley County adds a 2% local tax, increasing a $200 per night stay by $4.
- Purchase Sullivan’s Island beach tags for $15 (approx. 17,700 KRW) per vehicle at town kiosks from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Hotel desks may charge double for these; ask about options at your hotel’s concierge if you’re unfamiliar with kiosks.
- Prioritize hotels with fiber internet, like Aloft or Hyatt Place, for remote work. Only 32% of Mount Pleasant hotels offer symmetrical upload speeds over 100 Mbps; confirm connection speed directly with your chosen property if remote work is essential.
- Avoid non-refundable bookings in July and August due to hurricane season. Storm-related cancellations increase by 22% in August, and average rates drop 15-20% three days before a storm; check hotel hurricane policies or consider travel insurance for added protection.
- Decline Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) at ATMs to avoid 3.5-4.2% fees. Local ATMs near Coleman Boulevard average a $3.25 fee, which is lower than most hotel ATMs; U.S. dollars are the only accepted currency in the area.
- Request a room on the third floor or higher and away from I-526 to minimize noise, as lower rooms near the highway experience levels over 55 dB, the WHO disturbance threshold. Ask about soundproofing features during check-in or booking for added comfort.
- Call hotels directly to verify step-free access, since less than 15% disclose this on their websites. Only 8 properties in Mount Pleasant guarantee zero-threshold showers; consider requesting a list of accessible accommodations or accessibility support resources.
