There are two Drury Inns in Paducah and we happened to go to the wrong one. We had a wonderful guest experience with the front desk person at the Drury Inn on 2930 James Sanders Blvd (this was not the one we were booked at). She’s awesome.
Staff was up to my Drury expectations. Good location.

THE FRIENDLY STAFF
The room was good size and had a couch. Breakfast was pretty standard but it was good. Price was good. Looked like a nice place when we got there but seems to be some maintenance/cleaning issues.

The price. However, it was a mistake to expect better conditions at the low price.
Very nice young lady checked me in but nobody was at the desk at 7am.

The owners clearly care about their establishment. It was very clean looking just driving up to the building. Hotel employee was very hospitable, welcome is and getting us a room. Usually one would say, you get what you pay for, I say we got more.
The staff were exceptionally helpful!
Extremely clean! I loved the blackout shades. Will definitely stay there again.

Pet friendly. Fair price
Hotel employee at check in was extremely helpful and a delight to interact with. The only issue was neglecting to tell us the room wouldn?t be cleaned and restocked daily. After inquiring as to why the room wasn?t cleaned day 2 did we find out.

I liked that this was not a chain hotel. The staff was knowledgeable about the area. The rooms were decorated nicely although we did not stay in the main house. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very clean.
It is very historic and cozy. The young lady that took care of us was wonderful and a very hard worker. It felt like the house was to ourselves and the kitchen area was perfect. Definitely will stay there when we come back
I can't remember the young lady who runs the Inn. but she was fantastic and the breakfast she made for us was wonderful.

Breakfast!
The breakfast was great especially for the children, good variety. However, the phone service for incoming call was not available. If family needed to get a message to us, there was no phone number to contact the hotel directly, to me that is a no-no

Fantastic staff ( so friendly and later day manager so sweet). The hotel was well maintained and a perfect stopping point on way to Fairfield Iowa from Atlanta, Georgia. Nice area with decent food to suit all budgets and taste factors. Victoria
I loved the nice big rooms, and the grills/patio area.

Location clean
The hotel was VERY CLEAN. I also enjoyed that it was not in the very middle of the bustling city. I would rather take a 5 minute drive for my food than be surrounded by the noise and the traffic.
The hotel was close to the highway. There were rooms available late at night. The hotel staff Was mostly helpful. Free breakfast is always good.

1857 is a gorgeous hotel. I loved the exposed brick, modern rustic feel, and the location downtown. The rain shower head, and beautiful skylight in my room, added to the hip and natural vibe.
Old school feel and the rain shower.

Top Tips
- Book your hotel 3-9 months in advance for AQS QuiltWeek (spring event), as rates and occupancy often spike by over 60% within 90 days of the event. Confirm whether your booking is non-refundable or includes a cancellation window, as many advance QuiltWeek rates are non-changeable.
- Riverfront and downtown hotels place you within 0.5 miles of the National Quilt Museum and floodwall murals, allowing you to walk to local landmarks in 5-15 minutes. Discover local art installations nearby and ask your concierge for neighborhood walking tour recommendations.
- Prearrange ground transportation at Barkley Regional Airport (PAH) due to limited daily flights and fewer onsite rentals compared to larger airports. Ride-share options may be limited after 22:00, so verify your pickup schedule with your provider.
- Major chain riverfront hotels reliably offer step-free access, visual alarms, and accessible rooms, while historic LowerTown B&Bs often have stairs and limited elevators. If accessibility is essential, request detailed room and entry information from the hotel before booking.
- QuiltWeek and large events can lead to parking shortages and on-site lot fees, even at hotels advertising free self-parking. Confirm the current parking policy and expected fees directly with your property before arrival.
- Many downtown shops and restaurants close by 21:00-22:00 on weekdays, so plan dining and activities in advance and confirm hours with your hotel. Consider using in-room dining or hotel lounges if arriving late.
