Passable
We booked 2 rooms for the weekend of 15and 16 November 2019. Unfortunately our friends daughter passed away the week before. We then had to be evacuated from our home due to fires. So it has been an extremely traumatic time for both of us. I contacted Sails and they informed me that they were happy to change the dates but needed to cancel the booking with [Link Redacted] There were emails back and forth but as you can appreciate and we didnt give information in the required time frame so have now missed out on an alternative date to stay. I am extremely disappointed in booking. Com for being inflexible when there has been so much going on in our lives.

Disappointing food, great views, comfy...
Nice location and views from the river-facing room. Really close to a bunch of good restaurants and a shopping center with Woolworths in it, so anything we needed was across the road. The swimming pool was quite cold (probably unheated), but the small spa next to it was spot on temperature and size-wise. Plenty of parking.
The food and drinks throughout the day were underwhelming to say the least, and the value for money is absolutely atrocious. Quality-wise the food was sub-standard (the level of a generic state school cafe), but the prices are of a 5-star resort. However, unlike in all other 5-star resorts that I've stayed in, this one didn't even include breakfast in its $$$ price tag. So having paid roughly $800 for a couple of nights do expect to pay $28 per person for every breakfast (and I mean the generic breakfast buffet that is usually offered for free, i.e. bland / flavourless cereal, components of a full English breakfast, such as eggs, sausages, overly-dried "vintage" tomato and unappealing "blackened mushrooms", as well as some bread/buns. The usual), then also $5 for a coffee milk inside the room (so much for the free coffee), etc. etc. It's almost like they forgot that there's a Woolworths and a great variety of good restaurants across the road! Sails is filled with micro-payments / "micro-extortions" and the only things that seem to be included in the room cost are the beds, TV, and the ceiling fan (seriously, that is mentioned in the list of room features & inclusions). During the day I've ordered a $20 Mojito, which turned out to be a tiny (150ml?) glass consisting mostly of ice and soda, virtually no alcohol, mint, sugar or flavour in it. Felt like a joke. All other drinks are priced similarly and are of the same size. So if you skip the breakfast buffet, bar and dinner and eat out in one of the restaurants in the city centre - you'll have a great time staying here. Otherwise, get ready for disappointment and spending money on the most basic items that don't meet your expectations.
