Tollboden Hotell & Restaurant

An excellent location and run by great staff. It is a very comfortable hotel in a good part of Kragerø.

The website said that breakfast was available until 10:30, but this was not correct. Because of this we missed out on a cooked breakfast (which we had paid for in advance) on the first morning. It was only because the wonderful staff pulled out the stops that we had any sort of (cold) breakfast at all. Also, parking in Kragerø is a nightmare. The poor and sometimes conflicting parking information is a disgrace to Kragerø kommune. Of course, this is not the fault of the hotel!

Friendly staff; room layout; very good food for dinner.

Very cold in restaurant during dinner; room also took a while to warm up; parking nearby very expensive overnight.

Bedframe was dirty with several spots, linen fine.Not suitable for for guests with mobility problems

Staff were so friendly! The orchard was great, fresh plums and apples. Very unique! Full of history! Yummy bfast. Super comfy beds! My elderly parents were given a better room where the bed wasn't so low to the ground. Thank you,

The bed frame was too long for the room and awkward to get past. Easily solved by not using a platform base. Very comfortable bed, had a great nights sleep once in the bed

Good location and design

The mattress is so soft that you fall in a hole that does not allow you to rest. Very painful.The breakfast! It is beyond poor and when asked for a cup of cappuccino, was promptly declined - only filtered black coffee! Ate half a croissant and left to have some breakfast in town.

Newly renovated, with nice colors and a fine mix of new and old interiors. Having breakfast served in an old sea shed converted into a restaurant with history and a picturesque atmosphere was a good start to the day.

I cannot find anything that did not meet my expectations.

I liked the location, the friendly people, the atmospere of the hotel as well as the breakfast outside in the garden

It was an antique looking hotel with beautifully decorated. Although looking antique, the room has modern facilities still keeping the old look.

The breakfast could have been more fancy with more choices. It was a OK breakfast.

The breakfast was amazing, extremely good but found eggshells in the bread. But that’s fine, surely common mistake. The stay was amazing definitely coming back, the rooms are amazing. Really great products in the bathroom.

Wish they’ve would’ve specifically said which rooms have bathtubs, and which do not. It’s a bit expensive. The location is okay. The tv only has boring channels, wish there would be more. The place isn’t very secure, the outdoor isn’t locked always after the hours it supposed to.
