Food quality, nice clean room & bed size.

Pool is a little small. Ironing board not stable.

The swimming pool and sauna was nice

Everything I ordered via room service was unavailable, me and my gf were starving, we weren't told for over an hour our food choices were unavailable.

Convenient for the crematorium

Not good support or any direction from staff when fire alarm set off at midnight on a very cold and damp night . Everyone outside in scanty night wear . It was evidently a smoke problem and false alarm but nobody told us anything and when I asked next day it seemed the hotel was full and over 160 people to just 2 night staff . This is just legal but it doesn’t meet the recommended health and safety advice . Our radiator valve didn’t work properly so was only either full on of completely off

Convenient for where we wanted to be

Dinner menu and buffet breakfast was very limited but food was nice. Thought the dessert’s were very expensive for the portion size and £18 for a glass of wine is ridiculous although the barman informed us of price beforehand which I thought was good of him

Rooms ok but decor a little tired.

Bar and restaurant service and quality poor. Cold, overpriced food and drinks very overpriced also. Breakfast was cold again and basic items were missing.

I appreciate that family's stay here I have kids myself but it was over run. And the noise levels from other rooms was over bearing. Bar area was not cleared regularly food left all over tables glasses and I love the idea of the piano for adults. A quiet drink with kids smashing the hell out of the poor piano. THE cleaning of the communal areas needs attention thick dust in all corners. First time I've ever written a review like this we stay in hotels alot. Can't fault the gentlemen that checked us in Sunday he gets a 5star review bless him.

Nice Hotel & great value for money.

The Jacuzzi didn’t work in the spa, hardly any loungers around the pool which resulted in us not being able to get 1 but the lighting & ambience was really nice. The Bar area didn’t have a very nice feel & could do with some nice accessories to give it a better feel.

clean, ell equipped room, food was good, evening meal was just right.

it was only an overnight stay so not a lot to fed back.

The hotel was very clean and welcoming. The gentleman on check in when we arrived was particularly friendly and helpful. Food was nice, and the swimming pool and spa facilities are lovely.I paid extra for a suprise package for my husbands 40th, instructions were followed well and communication was excellent.

The bar staff in the gallery were quite rude and unhelpful. The bar is advertised as a cocktail bar, but when I asked what cocktails they do, I was abruptly told 'No cocktails' and then he just walked off. The bar staff kept disappearing and guests were stood waiting for ages to be served. We also waited for 40 mins for someone to check us into the spa facilities as nobody was there, which spoiled our schedule for the evening. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, advertised as a super king, it was actually two beds pushed together, and I woke up multiple times in the night from rolling into the middle.

Room was clean & tidy although a little tired looking.

Didnt really feel the luxury 4 star hotel experience here. Poor menu selection in the main Winchester restaurant. Menu offered didnt match up with the menu shown online which was disappointing. Online menu today still shows a large choice of food options that isnt available? Choice of 2 bars but only one open on each day of our 2 day stay. Gallery bar stop taking food orders from 5 o clock in the afternoon. Would have been a nice place to eat a light evening meal or snack rather than use the restaurant. Sports bar, on the day it was open couldnt serve anything on draft for some reason - only from the main Gallery bar, which was closed.

The hotel was very short staffed, the lady on reception, seemed to be doing everything from booking guests in, taking room service orders, and taking them through to the restaurant. Checking in took almost 20 mins. I then proceeded to the bar area to order a dring and bar snack, again no one at the bar or the restaurant, I waited over 35 mins, another guest sat in the bar area said, it would be quicker to eat and drink elsewhere.The breakfast food was very limited and cold, so not very good value for money.The whole hotel looked very tired and dated and could do with a complete make-over. Most of the carpets were threadbare, with lots of marks on the walls. I was staying at this hotel for business and would not recommend this hotel to colleagues or friends. I have stayed at other MacDonalds hotels which have been a much better standard. If I was to rate this hotel, I would give it two stars at best. Such a shame as the loctaion was lovely, the staff members I saw were lovely but stressed with the extra work they were haveing to do.

The location was ideal for visiting family who lived nearby

The bathroom sink was leaking water badly from the wastepipe that ran all over and soaked the floor. When reported, they resolved by putting a towel behind the sink. The fire alarms sounded at midnight and we followed the signage to the non existent fire assembly point. The guests vacated but no member of staff was seen to oversee everyone outside. There seemed to be no-one in charge who knew what the procedures were to look after hotel guests. Naturally, everyone filtered back to bed eventually but there was no explanation given the following morning. The incident was a complete shambles. Luckily there appeared to be no fire or anyone hurt.

Just suited my needs.

The fire alarm going off at 11:00 pm I know it can't be helped but was just annoying but thankfully there was no fire and everyone was safe

Not having a lift in the facility was a big thing, as we had a disabled person in our party.

swimming pool and spa for societies

Spacious room, able to have window open which was lovely to sleep with a breeze. Very clean room, comfy pillows and bedding . Staff very friendly and accommodating .

There are no plug points near bed so unable to charge phone overnight. Would have been good to have a to have a TV guide within the TV so that you could see what was on. To be able to stream Netflix etc would be a bonus . Breakfast cost expensive if you are a light eater so choose not to have breakfast .

Room very comfortable

The price of your wine (large glass of Malbec) at £18.00 was disgustingly very very expensive.
