Location, spa, breakfast.

Everything! Love, love this place! We had the set meal in the Latymer restaurant. It was expensive but worth it.

There were no net or screening curtains in our room so people could look in. Granted there weren't many people outside but I would have preferred something in addition to the blackout curtains.

The spa is the highlight. Staff were brilliant too. Rooms are large.

For the money, the bedrooms are tired and so you have to remember that you are mainly paying for the spa in the cost.

The spa facilities are excellent and the staff are wonderful.

We had two poor experiences with food, one at dinner with under cooked meat and a long delay at breakfast.

Breakfast was not included in our booking. We paid more with the assumption we had breakfast in our package. We didn't realise going through booking.com meant no package

I have been to this hotel many times in the past. This was the first time that I have been disappointed. For a start, on the day of check-in, we were unable to access the spa until 4pm! Last year, this was open to us on the morning of the day we were checking in. Further, you only had the use of the Spa until 2pm of the day you check out, which was never the case in the past. Whilst the food in the spa was very good, there is very limited choice now. Further, they no longer offer the lunchtime buffet, which despite being quite expensive, seemed to be a favourite of many people. Was also disappointed that certain parts of the outside spa were unable to use, despite no warning being given at the time of booking. Moving on to dinner, we ate in the main restaurant. We were one of four tables occupied, despite this always usually being quite busy. Both of the steaks we ordered were over-cooked. The table next to us called for the manager to discuss their food as well. Despite offering 4 or five different red wines by the glass, only one was available! All in all, we paid over £200 for dinner and it was nowhere near the quality of every other meal that we had in the same restaurant previously. Really not impressed. All together, with drinks, an overnight has cost me over £1,000. Definitely not value for money anymore! Just when I thought it could not get any worse, breakfast on the morning we were leaving! Very little choice, very tired, no buffett, tabs of butter melting because it had been sitting out too long, no prepared fruit and everything had to be ordered off the menu. In fairness, the breakfast I got in a Holiday Inn was far better. Rather than spend any more money there, we drove to Marks & Spencer in Camberley on the last day for lunch. Decent food, with decent quality. I get the feeling that this hotel has seen its best days.

Staff and facilities were very good. Spa well equipped, spacious and not too busy. Food quality good (although breakfast not value for money).

Looking tired in places. Dents in room door. Scratches on paint in common areas in accommodation block. Took nice but definitely not spacious enough to luxurious enough for the price. No doubt the hotel can get enough people to stay at these prices. Question is, should they be more concerned about value. Not sure their repeat business will be that strong. Enjoyed it, but not going back at that money. 25% over on my view.

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff was top tier. Staff were very attentive and easy to speak to, in particular Tasha, Olga and Sakkain. From arrival I was treated with respect and professionalism. My luggage was taken to my room for me by Tasha which was nice after a long drive. On arrival to the room I did not think it suited my needs so contacted Tasha and asked for a room change. Tasha was on it immediately and came and offered me a free upgrade to a more suitable room.I have a disability and have issues with my mobility, I really wanted to go on the nature path however thought it would be difficult as there was a load of stairs and steep hill to get on it. Olga at reception was so lovely, she held my hands and help me down the stairs on the path and came back for me once I was finished. She even walked me to my room to make sure I was ok.I went to the hillier restaurant and had lunch, the food was ok but I did not fancy anything on the list so asked if I could have a mai tai, omg Sakkain was an angel and made me the best Mai tai I have ever had! It was so good asked him to make me another for my dinner and he did not disappoint!The dinner unfortunately was not the highlight of my stay, I have already given my feedback so will leave it there.The spa was amazing, my massage by a male therapist was so amazing and he was very attentive. The spa facilities was one of the best I've ever been to, the staff was very nice and helpful. The heated hydropool was heavenly! All the rooms with different scents was so refreshing and the relaxation room was lovely. Free fruits and flavoured water was the cherry on top..xxOverall very nice stay.

The spa is the best in the region by far.

Poor service - particularly around the pond at lunch time, we waited over an hour for food to discover our order was never registered! This is the second time this has happened to us here. Previously had poor service in the restaurant.

Amazing hotel and spa , food ,outdoor pool. Just perfect, kids love it.

Lovely room but lacking a suitcase stand

Long walk to the room with no porter. Food expensive without quality. Lacking qualified staff. For the price it was £200 per night too much.

Stayed in this hotel about 20 years ago, and it hasn't changed since really, the rooms are spacious but tired , we stayed for 2 nights for my wife's birthday which i stated on the booking and at dinner, you'd think a 5 star paying over 1k would pay some attention to that? Also we was checked out on their system after one day and Keys were cancelled so we had to go to reception and sort all that out, no apology or goodwill offered, I asked why the underfloor heating in the bathroom didn't work, was given blank looks and told its still summer? I was underwhelmed and overpaid for what I got. Won't be back. Last time I came car was parked for me, good old fashioned valet parking , asked what happened to that.. some excuse about covid, carried my own cases a long way to my room 5 star? Also no mini bar really?.. is this really a 5 star?I've paid alot less for alot more

Spa and pools area is great but you may need to check, check in times .Rooms are traditional, we up graded to a nice size room with comfy bed and spacious bathroom.Breakfast wasn’t included and was quite pricey.Parking in the car park was easy .

The food was quite good but expensive.The phone in our room didn’t work, so if you needed anything you had to go to reception.

Fantastic, booked through booking.com which doesn’t included breakfast next time will book through pennyhill direct.

Spa facilities were amazing, outdoor pool with drinks and food station was great and perfect for a warm, sunny day.

Feel like during the summer they could have the outdoor terrace restaurant open all evening.

The surroundings and the grounds are beautiful. The facilities are also amazing

The tv in our room didn’t work and we had two people trying to sort and took over an hour in our evening time which was ideal. Breakfast we had to wait 25 minutes to get the coffee we ordered when we first arrived. The gentleman serving us didn’t have a great attitude when I asked if we could get our coffees again as we had already finished our breakfast when they arrived

Staff great, ambience lovely, perfectly tranquil and calm setting. Nice and quiet. Bar manager, asian gentleman was Excellent! Asked for ceasar salad with no anchovies and it came to table and immediately saw than anchovies had been added in and took it away to be replaced. However when it was replaced, they hadn't done a new salad, when I didn't finish it the Bar manager, saw that I hadn't and realised there were still anchovies in and without asking took if off the bill.

No one to park your car or greet you on arrival as there used to be. Long way to walk. No air conditioning, room hot, check in late 4.pm and you had to pay £60 to use the facilities when you arrive earlier!!, Very poor. We had a higher grade smart room at £575, Also, no breakfast when you book with booking.com, breakfast included on website. they could have done something on earl arrival to at least give you a discounted rate to visit the pool a couple of hours earlier, or not charge at all. Bar food appalling! Caesar salad very poor, chicken hard as nails, cold and clearly a few days old, not much there, and a tiny bit of cheese, my wife ordered some chicken nibbles at bar, had bones in. Chef here is very poor, and clearly not sub-standard, he needs a dressing down , or to be fired! Breakfast in morning, said fruit was drizzled with elderflower sauce, when the fruit came, there was no sauce, and they said they had run out. Eat somewhere else, in our opinion chef is useless!
