The Inn at Stonecliffe

The grounds were beautiful..

They didn't have towels stocked at the pool...and the gate latch to the pool was broken.

Great setting and amenities. Beautiful grounds. Free, high-quality breakfast and friendly staff.

A little far from downtown and don't expect a more "modern" hotel with a fridges, mini store, etc.

The atmosphere was like a fairytale.

The grounds were beautiful, the food was delicious and everything was so clean and well taken care of. We had wonderful service from Tom helping us with the fire pit and wood and he also helped us with the pool one morning. We also had wonderful service at the front desk with Emily and Alex getting our luggage to the ferry.

Everything was wonderful. It is truly a beautiful place.

The furniture and ambiance.

We had dinner at the restaurant. Honestly, it was bad. I cant think of any better terms to describe the food. I think ingredients were fresh but the taste was dreadful and the price way too hefty for the taste. We left hungry and regretting dinner.

Staff VERY well trained and tried hard to provide friendly and attentive customer service.

Internal communciations system too complex for staff to maintain. Room 'phone didn't work. Maintenance person tried to make it work for 45 minutes. And failed. Never did work and hod to use cell 'phones to contact front desk.

Beautiful picturesque location overlooking the water and the bridge. The property is vast with lots of places to relax. I especially liked the many bonfires locations across the lawn. The dining area inside was delicious. I recommend the pork belly appetizer.

The summerhouse room that we stayed was well done; however I did not like using the bar sink to brush my teeth and wash hands. There is no mirror in front of the mirror which is awkward. The walls are paper thin and we could hear everything above and beside us down to someone coughing and baby crying.

Great property, beautiful landscaping, so many great things between having cottages, a hotel, the small family fire areas, the dining areas. All excellent

Lack of elevator

The entire facility was exactly what it looked like in the pictures. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Thank you to Emily who worked at the front of the hotel. She helped make my wife’s and I 20th anniversary very special and memorable.

We loved this property and would come back again.

It was a very nice place to stay. We liked being away from the crowds. A little hidden gem in the woods. We hiked the 1.8 miles from Inn to town each day we were there. It was an adventure filled with memories, that we will cherish. They have quite a few food options to choose from right on the property. Games, family pool, adult pool and fire pit’s nightly. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Definitely a little pricey but, everything on the Island is a little pricey. A little careless incident with housekeeping. Need 2 people or even 3 running the General Store. Only 1 poor girl who had to rent bikes, help the clients get the bikes and help people in the store. We waited close to 20 minutes to buy snacks. Service staff @ the wood pizza place was lacking!

Tom tending to the fire pits was just the greatest and loved the quilts!!!!!I know you just reopened after a major renovation, it is a BEAUTIFULL resort!!

We did leave a list with Emily at the front desk regarding a few things in our Summer House King Suite, that would be a better idea in those rooms and more practical for guests. I also thought that with the nice coffee makers and coffee that it would be so much nicer to have actual glass mugs to drink my coffee out of in the morning. I know you are probably working out some kinks, and I'm sure that applys to the kitchen as well, we had breakfast our first morning, our server was fantastic, but my meal came out only barely warm and then I waited at least 20 minutes for a new meal. The dining room was not full for that much of a wait. Over all the Inn at STONECLIFFE is BEAUTIFULL and I would come back again!!! Also Brandon at the front desk was very helpful!!!! Thank You!!!! In our suite actually, the fan would have been nice to have on at night while we slept, but the switch to turn the light off on the fan wasn't working. Thank You again for a wonderful experience!!!! We may be back again this summer!!

Very quaint and lovely views. Staff was wonderful.

We stayed in the mansion and there was no air conditioning in the room. The ceiling fan didn't quite make it comfortable. TV screen was extremely small. Dinner on Sunday night was not very good.

It was a beautiful old bldg with lots of character and nice big lawns. It was very private and quiet

Distance from city made it at times inconvenient. The bike ride to it was steep uphill for some distance

The bartender (Bill) was very nice.

When we arrived at the dock to board transportation, there were no tickets left for us as our confirmation said. Star Lines tried contacting the Inn but no answer, when they did answer they said no reservation. We ended up buying tickets.

Andrew the waiter was great. Caleb was polite. Great view

No hot water. After riding 51 miles on a bike had to take cold shower. No night life. Too remote from main downtown.

The ambiance and the view are terrific. Great for a 'different' Mackinac experience.

Many Summerhouse room views are blocked by trees or a condo. Some would be ok in spring before the trees leave out.

The peace and quiet of a 100 year old mansion and its beautiful grounds overlooking the straights of Mackinac and the bridge. WOW!

I loved the charm and beauty of the Inn , the setting, and the view.

The only (slight) drawback was the distance from town. We couldn't just "bop" to town whenever we wanted to go for a few minutes. Transportation costs had to be figured in. This, again, was only a minor drawback.

It's a beautiful and well kept place.The view was breath taking.

Just too far for me to walk to town, was great for my husband.

Location on island was peaceful, great view of the Mackinac Bridge.

No lunch offered.
