Balcony door broken, room kuhlschrank broken, no form of room ventilation for my three-day stay in 30 grad weather, I thought ROOM A/C was listed as one of the room amenities; when service crew removed service bar, a THICK layer of heavy dust and dirt coated the shelf; I called reception to report the suffocating air and broken balcony door and it went unanswered for 10 rings! I called a second time and reported the problem and was told it would be reported. I have health problems and could not breathe well in the room! 20 minutes later I went down to reception and told personnel that no one came! Had to wait another 15 minutes before someone arrived. He said they were busy elsewhere and then fixed the door and removed the broken bar frig. Was very nice and polite! There is also no room information in the room typically available to hotel guests concerning hotel information such as pool hours: no one told me on check-in that I had to reserve for evening meals! I was just shown the restaurant location and told that breakfast was at 0630. No one told me breakfast on Sunday was 0730. Dining room maitre’d did not try to accommodate me when I showed up for dinner on Saturday evening at 1800. The entire dining facility was almost empty but he said dining was “booked full” and I had to leave! In my opinion, a FOUR STAR hotel would have made some attempt to accommodate a GUEST of the hotel! In total…….I was generally disappointed as I had been expecting a much better experience in a DORINT hotel! The pool was EXCELLENT! All else was not much better than if I had booked a room in Bitburg! Generally and overall…..disappointed!
