Great location and easy to come with a own car. The apartment was really nice and offered excellent views both in the morning and evening.

The elevator didn't work always.

Overall the stay was very pleasant. Even though the owner was not there to welcome, still she made sure that everything was in order. Welcome drinks were made available to us and room was prepared beforehand. The owner was very communicative. Highlight is the view and access to supermarket and food places.

The quality of sofa cum beds. It is time that they should be replaced. People with back issues should take this into account before booking the property.

Great location, wonderful view of the sea! The kitchen is adequately furnished, and has enough utensils to cook basic meals. Internet access was good, and the property was easy to find. Check-in also went smoothly.

The place comes with a book of instructions, printed in Dutch/French/German. English would have been nice, but we managed with the other languages. Most importantly, the book tells you that you are responsible for fully cleaning the flat yourself before leaving, otherwise your deposit will not be refunded. This proved to be very difficult given that the vacuum cleaner is somewhat weak and broken state, and there was only one very-nearly-empty bottle of cleaning spray. We tried to clean as much as we could (even bought a lint-roller from a store to get out dog hair), but the host claimed there was "hair everywhere" (in my opinion, this was not the case, and as mentioned we used a lint roller extensively on the sofas). At any rate, the host used this as an excuse to deduct 25EUR from our deposit. The great beach view mentioned above was somewhat diminished by the fact that the windows were completely dirty and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. While it was nice that the kitchen included some basic supplies such as salt (lots of salt, actually, but not much else), this property doesn't come with much of anything. There was no hand soap, body soap for the shower, shampoo, etc. The refrigerator also had a few drinks, but some of them had expired long ago. This property also has no real beds, just two fold-out sofas. Other guests claimed that they were comfortable, but we definitely do not agree with this. Your experience might be different, but regardless, a sofa-bed is never as nice as a real bed. We were disappointed because for the money, this place was somewhat above average compared to other properties in Oostende, but it definitely didn't deliver an above-average experience. After checking out, we had the pleasure of having to text the host and nag them to send back our deposit (I had to send two reminders) and argue about how clean the place was, and whether our dogs had been on the sofa (they had not).
