It was clean and comfortable

We followed instructions for the key, but there was no key. We had to try and phone to find the key

The overall facility has the potential for being great. The location and the setting are both good. There is ample parking for all.

We did arrive when it was extremely hot, and the upstairs loft room where the heat could not escape made for an uncomfortable night. As we were one of very few people staying over you might think that the staff would be able to recognise this and put us in a different room? There is a very small kitchenette in the room but as the microwave and the kettle are on the draining board this renders the space unsafe to use. The coffee making equipment can be only described as a joke - 4 paper cups and some instant coffee and sugar sachets stuffed inside - not acceptable at the price we paid. Whilst on our way we got a call from the duty manager to ask what time we were arriving. In itself not unusual. On arrival it was obvious that this was because he wanted to knock off and to tell us the kitchen would close at 5pm and no bar facilities would be available. Our arrival day was a Saturday after a long drive and we found this to be very strange.

Beautiful country location, good parking facilities, big comfortable room and lovely breakfast.

As there was a function on we were told we couldn’t have dinner at their restaurant.
