The breakfast was fantastic and the conservatory where we ate breakfast was beautiful

Beautiful property. Lovely rood with great ambience in the bar and restaurant.Breakfast was yummy too!

The spa bath rooms were like suites clean and tidy

Cleanliness and food. Design of the en-suite was more style than substance, obviously very expensively installed but with some design faults. Shower was excellent, and very useful shaving mirror. False toilet flushing buttons in addition to the ones that worked! Why?

Poor customer service by management. Blamed Booking.com for errors in the description of the room, but surely the description would have been provided to Booking.com by the hotel management. Room 4 was described as having a mountain view AND a garden view. The "garden view" was actually a view of the car parks, and the management admitted they did not have a garden. The dressing table mirror was too low to be of practicable use and could not be adjusted. The wash basin in the en-suite was very low and of such a design that there was nowhere to position used soap. When the taps were used the basin deflected the stream of water over the edges onto the surround.

The staff at this hotel were first class and made us feel very welcome. We were offered an upgrade on arrival which we gratefully accepted. The bar has a first class range of drinks at very competitive prices.

Comfortable bed

Prefer a buffet breakfast or more fruit choices and option for extra bacon or sausages on fry. Room not the standard expected for 5 star. Massages had to be in our room as no separate massage area. Also we had to request to get bed made up each day, this should be standard in hotel. Just not what i expected for 5 star and the cost.

No bar for residents after 10pm even at the weekend.

The hotel had character and charm. It also adhered to high standards of cleanliness and tidiness . Most importantly of all, the service throughout my stay, was excellent. All staff, from management, to bar and restaurant staff, were extremely friendly, helpful and professional.

The location is great, parking is easy and a real remover of stress. Staff very good, food excellent. Room comfortable and clean.

There is nowhere to put anything in the shower, so if you have say shower gel and shampoo you need to put them on the tray and bend up and down to swap. This could be difficult for older guests. The bathroom also became extremely hot. Potentially a stronger extractor is needed.These are very minor points however and wouldn't stop us from returning.

The staff were professional yet very friendly. The hotel was exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained, with lovely decor, fixtures and fittings. We couldn’t fault it at all!!..

Nothing at all

Beautiful hotel in excellent location a short block from downtown Windemere. The outside of the hotel is stunning. A few minutes walk from train station. So relaxing. Excellent breakfast options as well as daytime and nightly menus. Service was excellent for hotel and meals. This is a family owned property and they really care about their guests. Michelle and Kevin are attentive and aim to please their guests. I enjoyed my stay immensely

Everything was fine

The hotel was absolutely stunning in a prime location. Close to amenities and the surroundings were stunning. Beautiful, clean, family Rab hotel. Couldn't do enough to help and make our special stay enjoyable.

Absolutely everything from the welcome we had from Kevin and his team to the fantastic, spacious, beautifully clean and well presented room with amazing views. To the wonderful food and first class service. We were extremely impressed by the very high quality of the product and service this hotel has to offer.We will definitely be visiting this hotel again.

The bar shut early and wasn’t very busy. The breakfast staff and housekeeping staff were lovely and brilliant and made the stay great.

Fabulous location with easy access to restaurants and bars. On site parking was great as it is very busy in the area. Lovely hotel and very clean and well maintained. Nice friendly staff. Great breakfast with a good choice of menu.

There’s nothing to not like about it it’s situated in a lovely area walking distance from everywhere and everything you need is in once place

Hotel was well located for local amenities, close however, not to close to be bothered by traffic.Breakfast was very good, cooked to order. Staff where efficient and friendly.

We didn’t have any issues with our stay.
