The location, the bar and the pool.

The spa was good.

If you are going to serve $17 drinks, the bartender should know how to make a basic mixed drink.

It is just beautiful there at LaCantera. It has to be one of the more scenic parts of TX at least in central TX, which is saying a lot. The pool, grounds and service in the hotel is first class.

Some of the bar service by the pool was lacking for what you are paying. However, service at nearby Signature had outstanding service and the front desk was perfect.

Location, premises, and staff.

Soaps and cleaning liquids were inferior and smelled bad and left residue on our skip.

The staff was superb - from the bellhop to the servers at the pools and restaurants, everyone was so friendly and attentive!

Rooms are a bit outdated and we couldn't quite find the happy medium between freezing cold and humid temperature in the room

Nothing. Never go back.

Everything. Stayed here before and was wonderful. This time, no service, no amenities, restaurants closed, dirty room, charged $$$ as if everything open and operating but most everything closed.

The best thing about hotel was the room and bathroom were very clean, no unpleasant odors to the room. I appreciated that everything worked and was available to use. There was plenty of towels. I think that was a big plus for our stay. The staff was great

I really didn¿t like it wasn¿t very festive for the upcoming holidays and not very kid friendly. I will think twice to book here for a family friendly gathering. Yes you don¿t pay to stay at the hotel but JW hotel looks like they have the whole package.

Outstanding grounds and interior hall. Check in staff was very courteous.

30 minute wait at all resort restaurants on a Thursday night. Completely unacceptable.

Lobby/Bar area smelled like a sewer Room location was awful...right by the entrance/valet stand with music playing all night Beds were very small Blood on one of the walls in the room

The location and it being high up in the hills. Liked the covid kits they passed out at the gate when we first entered.

Self parking is a bit far to walk. The pool water where the slides were quite murky and dirty looking. At one point, there was poop on the side of the pool. They didn't seem to limit the number of people in the pool.

Loved having the kids jump in the infinity heated pool (80-90 degrees)in November. Relaxed in the out door hot tub looking up at the sky and close enough to watch the football game on the tv at the bar and restaurant nearby.Pool hours 6- 12 am amazing.

It was awesome. Friendly, clean and great location.

The hotel itself is beautiful and Sweet Fire Kitchen was delicious.

Our room was small and underwhelming. There were elements that needed upgrading. The front desk staff was rude and not knowledgeable. We were charged for things I already paid for.

Tried to up-sell using false information. Self parking is far away and they never offered to take or pickup in carts. The staff at spa was delayed and they would not extend check-out so I could wait for wife in room.

Food was excellent as we're new facilities.

Everyone in our group had issues with reservations and some staff members were very rude although staff had caused the issues

The beds were very comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. Great location, too.

The quality of the on-site restaurants was disappointing, especially for the price of the food.

We love the location, the views and the pool areas.

We miss the old walking trail.
