Excellent diner at the restaurant. People should try to take the surprise diner.Rooms are decent yet in an older building which has pros and cons.

In the room there is a small hallway with way too much bright light that automatically turns on and off. The same in the bathroom. So when you go the the bathroom at night you are right awake and so is the other person in the room. Would recommend to dim the light or have a night switch or so

Room was clean and spacious. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

You could taste that the breakfast was not fresh. Absolutely edible, but could be tastier.

Disappointing, rooms not soundproof and the noise from the restaurant made sleeping difficult

Beautiful historic building in a convenient location close to Ommen, in the stunning Vechtdal.The staff were super helpful and friendly. My daughter (10) has coeliac and they did their utmost to accommodate us. My daughter was so happy, she often feels excluded.

When I arrived in the evening, the reception was unmanned. I walked into the restaurant and was welcomed by the most polite chef (?), who checked me in. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was perfectly clean. The breakfast was amazing. I was the first one to take it, with no one else in the dining (breakfast) room. Very generous, great coffee (from a machine, but good). Would recommend.

After reading other persons reviews which were generally good I booked this hotel for one night. The staff were fine and the bed was reasonably comfortable but that is all that I found good here. Although the gardens are nice with 200+ year old oak trees and the hotel itself has good decor, the remainder was not good. When I asked if there was a vegan option for food I was looked at as if I had grown a second head! They had 2 vegetarian options so I asked if they could do a pasta dish with just fresh vegetables? I was told they were a gourmet restaurant that would not use pasta! The waitress said the chef had found some pasta and would cook it for me.It was bland and had been under seasoned with overcooked vegetables. They wanted to charge me €27 for this average meal worth €10. The next morning they reduced the bill slightly after my complaint. The room was a poky small loft room and was cold as the heater did not work.

The bathroom was nice and the room was clean. Nice mature trees in the garden.

Staff was really friendly in general. When I asked a couple of days in advance if it was possible to have a vegan dinner in the evening, the owner told me, that they don't do vegan food. None. Not even a plate of vegetables. I was a bit shocked by that answer. We (6 people) went for dinner somewhere else. After dinner we came back to the hotel bar and ordered nuts with olives. It took more than 30 minutes to get them - in the end I am glad we didn't eat there. Also the olives were covered in yoghurt or mayo and the nuts covered with some breadcrumbs. Both probably also not vegan. The owner didn't was serious about no vegan food at all. I organized most of my breakfast myself, which was ok for me. The were really nice to me and check out and only charged me 50 % for the breakfast, which I appreciated. Coffee is really good for dutch standards (crema from a machine). Rooms are nicely decorated for a 3 star hotel. The garden is nice too, location quiet and a little in the woods.

The bed was nice and soft and the restaurant looked nice. The price for the room was very reasonable.

When I arrived I turned up the heating because the room was very cold. An hour later and the radiator was still cold, so I went downstairs to ask if I did something wrong when turning on the radiator. They said they'd look at the heating and asked me to come back later if it still didnt work. An hour later and it was still 14 degrees in my room, so went downstairs. They said they couldn't fix it so I ask for an electric heater, but they only had two and had given these away already. I was then offered a larger room where the radiator did feel warm so I accepted the swap + plus the room had two twin beds so more duvets. It was still unbearably cold though and when I woke up my room was 13 degrees.During my checkout there was nobody at reception. I waited, but nobody came. The bell that was on the frontdesk yesterday wasn't there anymore so I decided to place the key on the counter and just leave. I got a call 2 hours later saying I hadn't paid and when I said they could charge my Amex that I used when I booked, they said they didn't accept Amex so I had to pay through banktransfer instead. Signage in the hotel could also be improved.
