Just 2 minutes’ walk from Waikiki Beach and directly across from the Honolulu Zoo, this aparthotel offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with a balcony with views of the beach, Kapiolani Park or Diamond Head. Each individually-decorated room at Castle at Waikīkī Grand features a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee-making facilities. A cable TV is also provided. Select rooms offer a kitchenette. The gay-friendly nightclub Hula's Bar and Lei Stand offers cocktails, music and dancing. Teddy's Bigger Burgers is a 1950’s-style diner featuring fresh, made-to-order burgers, fries, sandwiches and salads. - The location was nice
- The location is excellent The staff are very nice and helpful
Cons -
- Everything except the location. The bed and pillows was especially horrible. The curtains kept no light out at night. All lights on buildings made it glow 24 hours a day. Shower didn't drain properly. Only 2 outlets in the kitchenette and 2 in bathroom.
- When I checked in at the front desk I was told I needed to go to another room to check-in. It felt pretty shady. Then when I checked in I was told I had to pay an additional $53 for the cleaning fee which had not been disclosed when booking the room.
- Room wasn?t clean; shower didn?t drain -very unsanitary; bathroom counter not wiped; dust bunnies with hair (gross); one bedside drawer was broken; electrical cords potential fire hazard; thin white curtains let so much light in, difficult to sleep.
