Grandstay Apple Valley

This stay was a great value for so many reasons: perfect location for visiting MOA & Valley Fair & water park; spacious, quiet, and comfortable room .Great breakfast and pool.

Location...Size of room

Smelled bad in the hallways and elevator. Damp and muggy. Dirty dishes were in the dishwasher, pretzels and crumbs were in the pullout couch that ended up being broken we had to switch rooms

Two bedrooms

The room was a disaster. It was so dirty and worn out. It really used to be a real nice hotel but has really gone down the tubes. Not sure why. It was the most discusting hotel we have ever stayed in.

The queen suite we stayed in looked old and like a college apartment. The fire alarm went off at 7:15 in the morning so we got up and went downstairs. Fire alarm continued for 15 min. Not even an apology when checking out.

short staffed at the front desk. One person. She wasn't there to greet guests when they arrived. The coffee was nearly empty and no plates at breakfast at 8:30 am and only the front desk staff to help. Quite a bit of black hair on bathroom floor.

The rooms were well laid out and room and spacious. It was nice to have the kitchenette.

The rugs needed to be vacuumed. The rooms felt sterile. Little color. The living room area had an uncomfortable couch and chair.

Location was great for where we needed to be. The hotel rooms have been recently painted, carpet removed, and furniture updated.

Breakfast was adequate, but underwhelming!

The staff was great.

The breakfast was mediocre. Waffle mix was too runny so it wouldn't cook properly. The swimming pool was tiny even though the kids didn't care. The room had marks on the wall. Not sure if it was dirty or stained. Had to ask for sheets for pull out sofa.

I liked the location due to it being close to a couple of shopping centers. The Hotel itself was nice.

There was dirt on the floor in the room and under the dresser cabinet. Plus we weren't given blankets for the sofa bed. I had to request them.

Hotel was in the area of town that wanted to be in.

I had two rooms and tv's didn't work in either one.

The water pressure in the shower great and water temperature was perfect.

Hotel floors need to be vacuumed throughout. Hotel has a very ¿used¿ feeling. Walls, paint, floors, seems like they need a refresh, if they want people to come back. Beds creek when you sit sleep and move on them and are very hard. Pillows are old & sma

Rooms were clean. Hotel was in a good location.

Price quoted varied a lot.

The photos online exaggerate the size of the rooms and the pool both which were tiny compared to how they appeared online Also the water came out of shower like a rocket and was almost painful to shower in.

The room was spacious. Staff were great.

Sofa bed was broken. And just uncomfortable to sit on and impossible to sleep on.

I really enjoyed the fact that there were two separate bedrooms. The kitchenette was nice and I was very happy with the fact that there was actually silverware and dishes. Many places like this took everything out during Covid. This room was perfect.

Only 1 closet in the whole suite and 1 chest of drawers.

The staff was absolutely incredible, we really appreciated it. Autum, Emily, Sonny & Osiris were very helpful.

This isn¿t really a complaint but the rooms are a little old & could use a little bit of a tuneup but they were clean and we were happy.

The location is great and lots of amenities around.

The staff was unprofessional and did not clean our room. We had to go to the front desk to get our own towels. So disappointing.

We liked the large room. The free breakfast was great and hot foods were changed daily. While we were there it snowed almost daily. The hotel did a great job of maintaining their walks and parking lot.

We had an accessible room. The only thing lacking was a shower bench/chair. We had to get one to use. The coffee pot didn't work.

Sound proofing was poor, we could hear our neighbors beside us using the restroom, coughing, and even blowing their nose. We could hear the neighbors above us walking around, they sounded like elephants. In the vents we smelled a hint of cigarette smoke
