Not to be recommended, deceptive advertising!
Location very difficult to find-not on GPS. Host disagreable , he initially thought we were English, his demeanor slightly improved when we said we were Australian. It became clear why he disliked the British when you read the uniformly bad (but wholly justifiable) reviews. The Chateau was very much more "shabby" than "chic", the on line pictures are very deceptive, to say the least, it needs a lot of restoration/renovation. Breakfast was basic, fruit in fruit bowel contained rotting fruit, yoghurt was frozen!

It is a pleasant place and the decor is very authentic but I won’t be staying again.
Nice pool and open countryside. Very quiet, couldn’t hear any traffic or roads.
I booked a twin room with two single beds for my daughter and I but was given a room with one double bed. I mentioned this to the host but he said there was nothing he could do. There was one morning when we slept in but we’re quizzed by the host as to why we didn’t have breakfast. The first night we were tired so had some bread and cheese in our room at a little table with chairs in the window. Again, we were quizzed as to why we had eaten in the room. On leaving we were asked to empty the bin and take the rubbish downstairs. I think the room could have had a kettle and some tea or coffee but there was nothing.

Disappointing stay in a lovely building.
Location quiet and very rural.
Poor signage and sat/nav went mad. Host appeared grumpy. Arrived well after stated acceptable time told to sit in car as room not ready. We booked room with garden and swimming pool view. Could not see pool and afraid to open shutters to see garden/field incase they fell apart. Room was dark. No internet, TV , or telephone. Additionally in bathroom no hairdryer and sink plug mechanism not working. Breakfast not really good, baby bell and yogurt left out overnight bread hard and dry. Only good thing were tea bags to make a reasonable hot cup of tea. Whole place requires work and it could be lovely. It has character and feels like it is in still in 18th century.
