The Widemouth Manor is a warm friendly pub/ hotel and looks out over the sandy bay which is famous for its surfing. Just off the A39, access to Devon and Cornwall could not be better. The hotel's reputation for good local food and drinks including cocktails is growing all the time. The Widemouth Manor has an onsite Sunset Restaurant, Sunset Lounge bar (opening times vary) and Garden Bar and Restaurant. So take you pick. Fancy outside dining? Guests can enjoy eating or drinking on the terrace at the back of the property, which offers sunset views.

- Food, drinks and staff excellent.
Cons -
- Room 7 was awful, incredibly small, uncomfortable and the complete shock was that the toilet was located directly in the shower (who installed that, Frank Spencer?!) Also, if you needed the toilet during the night, you'd end up with wet feet - no bedside tables, the tiny sink was next to the main door and couldn't use the toilet as a couple as you see and hear EVERYTHING - shocking.
- Room was sold as a small double. We expected the room to be smaller but the bed could not really sleep two adults comfortably
