The Mansefield Hotel

Breakfast was very good.Staff were very good.

The bed was very soft and while the sheets were clean the other soft furnishing seems dated and worn. The shower needs upgraded, it was difficult to get on and off.

Nice location near town centre. Hotel was pleasant.

Being above a function room that didn't finish until midnight.

Clean, great staff, big room, great location, incredible whiskey selection, nice restaurant with good food.

Food and staff were excellent. The evening meal was beyond words and its the first time in a long time I have managed a 3 course meal, couldn't stop eating!!

The room was exceptionally hot and was not comfortable, opening the window and turning off the radiator made things slightly more comfortable, but it was still very hot

I think breakfast needs to be buffet if possible as always got the potato scones on my plate which i didnt like and said to the staff to not i dont want them.

convenient location. Unfortunately, there is not much choice for a full service type hotel given it is a small town. but it definitely is the best so far in the area.

the amenities can be a bit more. Floors are not carpet and can be very cold. There could be throwaway slippers , I always have to bring my own. No bathroom supplies at all. Toothbrush, toothpaste, earbuds. But to be fair no one offers it in the 3 other hotels/bed&breakfast i have stayed. but for almost 200gbp a night i would expect those as minimum.

Breakfast ok …… bit bland served too hot. Two windows in room could not be opened. Staff friendly. Booked a trim room ended up with a double and a single bed……. Not an upgrade in my opinion

Very tidy outside and fresh painted , good signage and external lighting

Didn’t have breakfast. The bar has a superb whisky collection. The room size was great and floors were solid with very little squeak.

We had dinner and it was fine but not as good as it was before. The menu now, isn’t as “fine dining” as it was 3 or 4 years ago.

Hotel very clean, breakfast was very good.The reception staff we dealt with extremely friendly and helpful, they are a credit to the hotel.

Our only complaint was the bed was a bit softer than we like !

Very comfortable hotel. Room, staff and Breakfast were excellent. I would happily return.

Not a lot, put in room 321, it was like a furnace, it has a massive boiler next to the room so , opened the window about 10 inches to cool the room, fell asleep as been a long day, woke closed window to find heat built to unbearable temp in short period of time, called reception got night port, who tried to be nice and put me in a room with four poster, the room was frozen as heating was turned off, no heat to pipes, no adjustment to TVR could bring heat to room. Two rooms I was given and none suitable for habitation, these people have no idea of how to run a business.I was also asked to give a card swipe of £10 , basically call me a thief, I was presumed to be a deviant, yet I had paid upfront in good faith for a room, and they failed to provide. They would not refund, and as of three days later this £10 pound swipe on my card is not cancelled. If you fear people not paying for services don't allow things to be charged to rooms, chip in pin, it is easy to pay for food or drinks, but swiping cards can be used to push charges to unsuspecting guests. Doogge practice, will never stay here again, and recommend no one else does too!!!!
