Las Palmas by the Sea All Inclusive

The wait staff, bell hops and bard tenders were great.

The Check-In and Check-Out Process and staff were horrible, the worst of any resort that I have ever been to. Unfortunately, when things start and end on a horrible note it ruins the rest of the experience.

Everything was perfect

Lovely hotel with a great vibe. We loved the design and decor. We loved our room, but we lucked out big time. Our friends staying there with us got a horrible room with 2 small windows that barely opened. Staff were all very friendly, kind and helpful. Every single employee we encountered was fantastic.

Pools could be way cleaner. Many times I didn’t want to get in. Same with the hot tub. Need more lounge chairs for the beach. Witnessed a fair few guests getting angry at employees for not having lounge chairs available. It was awful to see.

Variety of food was limited. We had only one electrical outlet beside our bed, difficult to plug in our cpap breathing machines.

The service was above and beyond. Super friendly. I loved the ease of the all inclusiveness. The activities and entertainment were great and it all added a special feel to our stay. The rooms were clean and tidy. Exceptional for the age of the establishment. Everything was close by; the pools, the beach, the restaurant. I liked that there were 3 options for eating. Many of the food options were great. I liked the hamburgers and hot dogs. The buffet was extensive and displayed beautifully. And the people working in thy buffet were kind and polite. The hot chocolate was amazing as well. A big thank you to Nacho who we met at the front. He was friendly, full of personality, and engaging. He made some great first impressions for las palmas.

Some of the food offerings didn't line up with the rest of the quality of the establishment. The chicken nuggets and taquitos were cold and hard. While we liked the buffet overall, some of the dishes were lacklustre.

The access to the beach was good.

It was beside a river that was smelly. I received the room 449 that was terrible. The view was to a parking lot. The smell from the river was terrible. We needed to ask to change to another room and we paid the room difference. The room outlets were hard to access.

Poolside activities were great. Food was excellent.

As soon as you checked out the hotel cuts you off of everything, you can no longer use the facilities for anything. Also didn’t appreciate that the hot tub was part of the adult only pool area and didn’t allow my older teens to enter.Secondly, booking.com screwed up my online reservation and had to pay on site for the additional people part of my reservation. My fault to for not checking the confirmation but I placed my trust in booking.com website. This has happened twice and will no longer use it for further reservations.

It is a good location and facilities we’re good

The receptionist was really rude at the check in. I don’t know if he was tired or something but he didn’t explain anything about how the resort works to first time guests. It looked like he was making me a favor for checking us in. When I complained about his attitude to his co-workers they said: “he is our manager, he is like that” Poor answer!

This hotel was not only dirty but the fact that 2 adults and a 6 year old a 9 year old and a 14 year old was going to apparently fit on a 2 DOUBLE bed. I asked for a balcony before I booked and said yes there will be one available for us. I get there and NO BALCONY just a view of a dirty windows If I had known that I wouldn’t have booked it. I canceled my stay the day of and then they said they have now have a balcony available for us I refused because why couldn’t I get that when it was requested in the first place but after canceling the day of at the location they said I would have to pay a cancellation fee which I was ok with. 3 months later I still have not received no refund and lost 2 thousand dollars to this hotel. Never again!!!

Some of the staff members were a bit rude - NOT in the restaurant. Also, we lost our bands and we had to pay a lot of money to get new ones.

food was good great variety however cold. coke would be great to have or other options. better towels in the rooms great people...... everyone was awesome.

All the staff were great, from the cleaning staff, restaurant workers, front desk ladies. The adult pool was good…the ala carte restaurant was good. The presentation of food was nicely done and the taste was very good. The location of the property was perfect with easy beach walks.

The rooms were extremely old and worn out. Very disappointing. Even the towels in the room were thread bare.The food in the buffet was not good at all. We tried the breakfast, lunch and dinner. Terrible selections and everything tasted very bland. Very disappointing.

The staff were friendly and the location was great.

It needs to be updated. The restaurants were not always open. It would of been convenient to have a small fridge in your room also you could not bring food back to your room.

There was no variety in food cuisine. Need more options for vegetarians. Exit to beach was always crowded. Too many local sellers. It can be more quiet and peaceful.

Clean property, close to the water. Food was OK. We paid extra for the ocean view room and it was very close to the water and nice. PVR has nice sunsets

Staff spoke little to no English, mainly Mexican guests. When we checked in there was no tour or instructions about the facility, and we looked around for the elevator for 10 minutes asking for help, no one able to understand us. Not your typical all inclusive resort as a Canadian traveller - all the music and nightly entertainment is in Spanish and they closed off the entire adult area one night for a wedding and had music BLARING until 3 am, with the entire north side of the facility blocked off… resort guests were sitting on their balconies watching as that was the only thing to do that night. Bars don’t open till 11am, staff came off as rude at times because we didn’t speak any Spanish. They wouldn’t get extra chairs for us by the pool when it was completely full leaving us with a “well what are we supposed to do?” (Our room was overhanging the storage area, there were plenty of chairs sitting there unused and stacked) We really just felt unwelcome most of the time. Met an (English speaking) lady from the states who cut her foot open the day before and went to the lobby to ask for a bandaid, no one spoke English or understood what she meant. The next day in the food lineup when we met this lady - one of the staff she asked help from tried to sell myself and my partner on a time share in perfect English - realized the lady she blew off was behind us, gave us a flier and left in embarrassment.Came back to Canada thinking “well that was just ok” and glad we were back at home. Doesn’t compare to any other all inclusive vacation resort I’ve been to. More like a hotel with a meal/alcohol plan for English only guests. Disappointed overall
