The Hollywood Roosevelt

The building was fantastic and loved having breakfast by the pool, drinks in the lobby and dinner in the restaurant. So much history and interesting details. Rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable.

Noisy at night. There were racing cars and screaming people outside. Outside of the hotel's control but was too loud to sleep.

Good location in middle of Hollywood tourist area. Well maintained, clean, renovated older hotel. Short drives to observatory, zoo, museums, Warner Studios and Universal. Much quieter than than expected. Independent and staffed excellent parking garage across street at $30/day, so hotel valet at $75 per EXIT is to be avoided. Restaurants in hotel were good and convenient.

Section of hotel for our rooms (in area of # 502 - # 512 for reference) were over a very large noisy exhaust blower on roof of second floor section. Avoid that wing of hotel. Only two elevators so be prepared for long waits. Be prepared for typical LA heavy traffic and freeway congestion in this area. Plan on several alternative routes / surface streets and avoid 101 / 405 freeways at all cost during the commute hours (worst traffic in entire country before 9 am and after 3 pm) .

Location. Room was clean. Parking available but expensive.

Some staff indifferent. Functions in lobby/lounge area affected guest access etc.

Perfect location, beautiful and historic hotel, great staff and delicious food!

This is our second stay here and it never disappoints. The location is great right in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard. Close to transport, food and activities. Really stunning hotel, rooms and very comfortable and large. The pool is perfect for relaxing and drinks. Would keep coming back!

The shower was luke warm with poor pressure

The location was fantastic for our purposes. Love the history of the hotel and the vibe. Room was clean and loved the bathroom products. The pool area was stunning. Friendly and helpful staff.

Beds were very comfortable and room was neat and spacious enough for our stay

Can be noisy from the street as our room was facing the Boulevard, but otherwise we slept through.

The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is my go-to for my yearly LA visits. It's a gorgeous hotel that has preserved it's history and updated with all the mod cons. The rooms are spacious with cosy cool decor, the beds are comfy. The pool is fab with a mural by artist David Hockney - so cool. The lobby has ample comfy seating to lounge after a day out or a quiet way to spend the morning. The Shirley Brasserie food is fantastic. Staff are friendly and professional and valet parking is super efficient as cars are parked on site so never take more than a couple of minutes to retrieve.Tip: Visit the pool early if you want to enjoy some alone chill out time. Have a drink in the lobby, it's a great place to hang and relax.

Shower pressure could be better but this is the case with most USA hotels.

The location of this hotel is amazing. Walking distance to everything on Hollywood Blvd that is touristy. The hotel itself is beautiful from what we were able to see but large curtains covered everything and hundreds of workers with boxes and equipment were everywhere preparing for a private event. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

We received a text message the morning of check in stating that the pool, lounge, and other areas of hotel would be closed for the weekend due to a private event. This was upsetting because one of the main decisions to stay there was for the pool to enjoy Saturday and the night swim on Friday. Thankfully we did enjoy the lounge for a bit on Friday (although it had large black curtains covering areas and workers in and out). This event was for a wedding that had obviously been planned very long ago and took up 3/4ths of the hotel (quoting the staff). I feel that the hotel should have been upfront with anyone outside this event who was booking at the time of booking, not on the morning of check in. This affected parking, dining, access to the main entrance of hotel, elevator use (one was only accessible to other guests on Saturday), pool and lounge. That being said, I still believe it was a beautiful hotel and would have loved to enjoy all of it.
