The Tillary Hotel Brooklyn

The location was amazing and look of the hotel was nice. Quick maintenance when shower wasn’t working and flooded the bathroom.

Check in process wasn’t smooth, we had to wait even though rooms were available for other guests with the same accommodations. Basement flooded near gym and smelled horrible. Room wasn’t fully cleaned, no fitted sheet on the mattress and dirty blankets were shoved under the bed.

Beautiful rooms, all well maintained, Great location, great amenities.

Floor cleanliness could be better. For price I expected with a simple breakfast provided. As I’ve stayed in similar prices range inside manhattan and breakfasts was included

The staff we interacted with were just great, very nice and accommodating when we would need something. It wasn't a very expensive hotel, so that was good. Glad there was a decent sized fitness room.

A lot. First off, all the pics on the website made it look a lot nicer than it was. Everything was dingier in real life. The walls outside of our room just had huge white paint splotches, and they were at every door. All the towels we got were ragged and torn up, and we had to ask literally every day for more towels because we were only given one and housekeeping would only refresh one towel. The cafe was grossly understocked, practically nothing to get there. The fan in our bathroom was broken, so the bathroom was constantly steamed up and soaking wet. The mini fridge didn't even fit behind the door in the cabinet. Also, when I booked the stay, there was supposed to be a shuttle included from the airport, and daily VOSS water and coffee, etc. in the room. I could not find any way to arrange the shuttle, so I called the hotel before the trip, and they said they don't offer shuttle service. We had to ask the front desk for more water (which was not VOSS, but cheap, tiny bottles) and coffee pods because they were never replenished despite that being included in the daily $30 resort fee. So yes, our stay was pretty disappointing on a lot of levels.

The location is great and that’s about it.

It’s FAR from a cry of a “4 Stars” hotel! It’s at 2.5 stars at best! When I checked in at 10:30pm and I was greeted by Emily and she was great! She gave a very good impression of the hotel and I was excited! However, that excitement soon diminished quickly! The other front desk staff shouldn’t be in the hospitality staff! The next morning, I attempted to call the front desk to request an ironing board. No answer. It’s like the desk was closed. I had to track down housekeeping myself. I got my ironing board and told them housekeeping isn’t needed. Btw, there’s no ice machine, vending machine. Their “restaurant” is DEAD! Theybarely serve any food and everyone is on their phones all day. The following day, I requested for housekeeping service sooner rather than later. I spoke with Yogi at the front desk, she said absolutely! I told her we will be back in a few hours. Got back at 1:15, not done. Waited in the lobby until 2:30, not done. Ask Yogi again, and said said, “a huge party is checking in now and they’re priority.”

The location and hotel were fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable

We very much like the location. The hotel is very clean and it’s a value.

We ran out of toilet paper early in our stay there was no backup. There was only one towel, no face cloths in our room.

I had a good experience at this hotel. The room was clean and nicely designed, with a great view.The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is amazing — just a short walk to Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO, which I absolutely love.Would definitely consider staying here again!

Too much for deposit.

Use of exercise room.Hotel was conveniently located near places we needed to go to.

1. Room not ready when we arrived after 3pm2. Saturday morning at 7am, requested bedding on pullout sofa to be changed, as it was soiled. Returned at 4pm after being out all day. Bedding had not been changed.3.No shower gel4.Lights in bathroom and bedroom out5.Tv remote covered in mysterious filth6.Valet parking employee left black grease inside car, leading to a ruined cardigan sweater 7.Valet parking not available after outing; forced to park car ourselves onto the narrow lift8.Room too dimly lit, walls were a dark color, not enough lighting9. Not enough electric outlets at the corner of the bed10. Floors dirty in bedroom and bathroom11. Inattentive front desk service, did not take requests seriously12.Shower drain was clogged13.Lights in all of the public restrooms did not work. Bathrooms walls also dark color making visibility poor. No soap in at least two public restrooms.

The Rooms were big, and the bed was comfortable

The property looks very different than the photos posted online, the lobby was dull and dirty, the garden bar was closed all weekend and they wouldn’t let us even go outside, the front desk staff was not very pleasant. Overall for the price we paid I definitely would never come back
