Located in the heart of the Lake District and a 10-minute walk from Lake Windermere, this hotel is set in 3 acres of tree-lined gardens and has a charming, wooden-beamed restaurant. - Friendly helpful and well located
- It was in a nice location and nice green areas surrounding the hotel. The reception guys were very friendly.
- Quiet and easy to get to. Fairly clean room and bath.
Cons -
- Concerned that the fire door at the back was locked and I was unable to open it in the early morning for two of the days of our stay despite having mentioned it on the first day.
- The hotel is dated,smelly and not maintained. The bathroom smell was horrible mould on bathtube. In our room it was dust everywhere:on bed headboard the hidden part hasn't been cleaned for years, dressing table, bedside tables. OurRoom hasn'tBeen Vacuumed
- The shower in the bathroom did not work along with separate hot and cold water faucets that makes using the sink a real challenge.

Friendly helpful and well located
Concerned that the fire door at the back was locked and I was unable to open it in the early morning for two of the days of our stay despite having mentioned it on the first day.
