Featuring a luxury wellness center, an outdoor hot tub open all year, 2 children's pools and a 25-yard pool with white sandy beach, the Weinegg is a 5-star hotel surrounded by vineyards. It is 1.2 mi from Appiano sulla Strada del Vino and offers elegant rooms with a balcony. With a large sauna area and a 12-yard indoor pool, the Weinegg's spa facilities are free. A well-equipped gym is also available. You can relax on waterbeds and enjoy refreshing drinks from the free juice bar. Rooms have traditional Alpine furnishings and an LCD TV. You will find a welcome gift of fresh fruit and a small bottle of sparkling wine when you arrive. All rooms are equipped with soft bathrobes and offer views of the nearby mountains and vineyards. Pancakes, eggs and freshly baked pastries feature at the hotel's rich breakfast buffet, open until midday. The hotel's restaurant and the gourmet restaurant L'Arena serve both regional and Mediterranean cuisine. Gluten-free options are available on request. - Only stayed one night - wished it could have been longer. Loved the spa areas with indoor/outdoor pool. Swimming in clear mountain air whilst surrounded by warm water was just delightful. Didn't leave myself much time to explore further, was so relaxed. Food was plentiful & varied. Breakfast was amazing & in general service was great. My room was spacious, felt luxurious & the bed so comfortable - would definitely return.
- I like The modern design of the hotel rooms and suites most. Also, the food provided by the restaurant is world class, scrumptious and the waitresses are thoughtful. All the staff in the hotel are beautiful and friendly. I like their dress in Austrian style.
Cons -
- Dining at night was perhaps a little too formal for me - seating was pre-allocated and I was seated in a very secluded area which felt a bit cut off & impersonal. But that's a minor thing & and am sure they would have moved me if I'd asked as the service was warm as well as efficient.
