Booked on 5/5, over 3months early! On 7/6, I called hotel for a lakeside room. Reservationist, confirmed the upgrade for addtl fee. Upon arrival, no lakeside view. Hotel admitted their mistake but did NOTHING to amend. AWFUL GUEST RELATIONS!

The only thing I liked is the location and concierge service

I booked Hotel Carlina Courchevel 1850 expecting at least a solid four-star standard, even if not a true five-star experience. Unfortunately, the reality has been disappointing. The rooms are extremely outdated, and the bathrooms feel old and worn. The family room provided for my nanny and children felt unsafe, with low wooden ceilings and steep stairs posing a risk. My own room had a very strong, unpleasant odor that gave me a headache. Management did attempt to offer a room change, which I appreciated. However, I felt uncomfortable with the visible exchange of looks between staff, which came across as judgmental and unprofessional.

I am a regular client in this hotel which is perfectly located and used to offer a comfortable and friendly experience.

Unfortunately over the past few months and for many more to come, the hotel is undergoing heavy construcion works while staying open. My last experience was a room heated at 50 degrees celsius with employees incapable of fixing the problem. I had to sleep with the window opened on the street. No sleep. Bar is closes. It took me 10 mn to find somebody for the check out at 6am. At €900 the night it is not acceptable. I would strongly recommand to prioritize other hotels in Geneve and wait for the Works to be completed to test again the Metropole.

Everything, staff Helpful and kind, Location perfect, room was clean and comfortable.

smells weird at entrance.... after you book expesif room.... they tell you it is renovated so half hotel is clossed..

Excellent helpful staff. Rooms beautifully decorated and the bathrooms were clean and tidy. Bidet was a nice feature often lacking in Europe.

Excellent location and a very spacious suite that had a partial lake view! It was my son’s birthday and the hotel staff had organized a cake and small gifts as a surprise at the arrival in our room! Very lovely gesture! The reception staff were all very nice and the newly renovated parts of the hotel are beautiful.We would definitely stay again as very good value for money.

The hotel is currently under renovation and the breakfast is served on the 5th floor in a kind of worn out space and the options are not great for a 5 star establishment. However, having known this in advance as the hotel sent us a message beforehand it still works out fine.

I choose the hotel for location

The room cleanliness is poot Air-conditioning was not available. I couldn't open the window as the noise from the road was loud. The whole night i was awake after paying for two nights. I had to shorten the stay and requested the front desk agent. She said pay now full and booking.com will reverse my second night charges. I didn't get even the invoice. And no payment reversed. Really very bad experience with this hotel Also, restaurant service was poor. They don't have the buffet replenished and the service team was not approachable Please look into reimburse my second night

Facilities are very poor. Breakfast was just ok, the bar was not open and the glass bathroom does not lend to modesty .

Hotel was under renovation, but the Staff and rooms were fantastic

Nothing much very busy street marking of the park was the city park across the street and on the lake it had nothing to do with the property.

Where do we begin? They’re in the middle of remodel which is not advertised. The upstairs bar restaurant was dated by about 30 years. The new rooms are very nice but you walk into a very disappointing entry with no amenities no bar no restaurant old and sad.

Wonderful location - hotel was under renovation while we were there but they still made provision to keep guests comfortable and happy. Rooms were lovely and clean with all the necessary amenities!Best rooftop bar in the city!

The staff behaviour was great !
