Excellent owners, worked very hard, good food.

Rooms were a bit tired

The breakfast was great, the facilities and staff were fabulous and helpful and we had a great time. Thank you for the hospitality.

The shower didn’t work but the bath made up for it.

My daughter booked 2 separate rooms and we had to share,Eggs wasn't cooked properly at breakfast,They didn't give us wifi password, we booked there for the WiFi n 2 separate rooms.

Good location and was quietRooms basic and a bit dated, but were clean.Staff happy to help! when needed more cups/ tea lady got for me.

Breakfast tables could have been cleaner, could off offered fresh fruit juices.Was four staying but beds only made up for 3 and no duvet with cover for pull out bed/ sofa bed. We managed and I never mentioned to staff so can’t comment on whether this would have been rectified.

Staff friendly and welcoming and we ate in the restaurant 1 night and food good.

The rooms are small and not very clean, everything very dated. Beds hard and pillows and we were kept awake from a buzzing noise all night. Hardly slept at all would not return and the drink prices very expensive too.

Fruit juice was watered down squash. Hotel is quite tired and in need of some refurbishment. Rooms quite small and pretty basic. They could be cleaner.

Great staff,didn't arrive until 9pm so went straight to my room. Had a bar and restaurant which I didn't use Had single room which was an adequate size and TV at the end of my bed.Breakfast was really good and waitress lovely

The location was convenient for us.

This hotel has 2 names- Hotel 281 and The Pine Lodge Hotel. It's important to check the reviews for both as they are different and our experience was definitely in line with the 1 star reviews. The hotel is rundown, with one window boarded up and some panels in our bedroom window cracked. It is dirty. There were black hairs on the toilet rim like someone had been having a trim, the skirting boards were dirty and the divan base was stained. There was a noise like an industrial fan running all night, which kept us awake. The staff have no idea about hospitality, at check-in the person on reception was chatting on his personal phone and broke off to hand us a key card, then carried on talking, we were told nothing except our room number. The key card lock to the bedroom door was ancient and temperamental, we had to fiddle with it , pushing it back and forth to gain access. There was a note up in reception to say breakfast was 8-10am, no information in the room whatsoever. Consequently, we went to breakfast at roughly quarter to 9, but there were no staff around. There was tea and coffee and cereal on the side but no milk for the cereal. We waited for 5 minutes but nobody came, so I knocked on the kitchen door and asked for milk, the woman was irritated but brought out a small jug of milk from a tea set, then disappeared. We were waiting for her to return and take our breakfast order but she didn't. Then a Polish woman who works there came in so I said we haven't ordered our breakfast yet, she replied, you want English breakfast. I will get it. She went into the kitchen and was a good 5 minutes before returning to tell us, " breakfast is finished". We asked why and she said its 7-9am. I said no, the sign says 8-10am, she said yes this is weekend. I proceeded to protest that the sign doesn't say that and that we weren't given any information at check-in. She said all machines turned off now breakfast finished.

Location, easy parking, good size room, good choice in restaurant.

Location, clean, bedding and towels new. Restaurant nicely decorated and food excellent. Breakfast was included but I felt it was lacking, not much choice, no orange juice unless paid for at the bar.

Nothing wrong with the property, a little tired in places. Especially the stairways. We only saw our rooms which was a large double room for families and it was recently decorated.

Lovely little hotel.. Had a lovely evening meal and a lovely Breakfast.. I had a single which was good for a one night stay. Staff very friendly.. easy access to the football ground in town .. Will book again if I’m in Mansfield again ..

Have stayed a few times now, I noted they've recently done some work on the property, which is good and has improved it's overall look. The lady who assisted us at breakfast was very friendly and welcoming,breakfast was good too so happy ?

Good quiet location. Easy access and parking.Lovely rooms and the bathroom was beautiful and spotlessly clean.Breakfast was Full English with cereal, Tea,coffee and toast

Kept awake by other guests and men coming and going , made me feel really unsafe when I tried to ring down to reception the phone was off. The manager saidIn the morning pretended not to understand English. My daughter has autism and this was scary for her . I have never been anywhere like this nor will I. The pictures don't match the true match of Hotel dirty ,out dated lights not working .

Dirty.Unhelpful staff.Promised could meet dietary requirements before booking and then failed to offer anything.Intimidating atmosphere created by large groups of adult males outside and around reception.

The location was good and the staff were friendly. The hotel has its own car park and it had very good WiFi.

Unfortunately, our room had a constant hum all day and night. I'm not sure if it was because the extraction fan was located right underneath us. The bed was small and very uncomfortable, along with very hard pillows. The shower was electric and produced no power, barely a trickle, so it was not a pleasurable experience. We were two people, and there was only one towel. Did they expect us to share??? Lighting was very poor in the room.The breakfast was also not that great, not a lot of choice, and the eggs i ordered were not cooked properly. In terms of value for money, I don't feel like I received that. With this, I said I can't recommend this hotel.

The outside gave me mixed messages. The front of the hotel was very nice and inviting, the Carpark gave me some concerns. However the welcome was very friendly and all staff encountered very accommodating. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely apart from my father’s vegetables which were very under cooked.Breakfast was self serve with the option for a freshly cooked full English or whatever you would like from this. I had poached eggs on toast, they were just perfect.My room was clean and tidy albeit dated but I am aware that the hotel is currently being refurbished.We intend to use this hotel again for the short stays we have when visiting Mansfield to see family.

The bathroom was in need of attention with the seals around the bath being marked, the shower holder was rusty. The carpet throughout the hotel are in need of refreshing but again I am aware that this will be in hand with the refurbishment.
