Motel 6 Effingham, IL

The room was clean and comfortable.

The check-in is done with a remote attendant.

Great location right off the Highway and close to other businesses. Super new bathroom!

Noise from neighbors, odors upon entering room. But World Class reno in bathroom overcame all other probs.

Location

Had no shampoo or toiletries in the room to use back parking lot was scary and seen a lot of sketchy people back there

Good location and price. Check in was uncomplicated. Desk staff was friendly and made a good dinner recommendation.

Hotel was doing a renovation. Shower/tub was not functioning properly. Water built up in the tub while showering. No coffee pot in room.

Location

Big gap in the door, allowed for a cold draft. Everything in the room was old, worn, except the flooring. Door lock did not seem very secure. Shower and tub area was dingy at best. Over all Motel 6 does not need to leave the light on at this motel.

It allows pets

The place was very dirty. Garbage all over. Cooler left some water on the floor. Wiped up the cloth was black. Would not go bare foot. Cut my leg on the bed frame where the metal was sticking out. Reported it but pretty sure nothing will be done

We were escorted to our room & were told dogs were welcome. We were on our way to a National event so that was very important to us.

Room was clean

Bed was stiff. Under construction

Filthy dirty disgusting room. Drug needle in mattress. Long term guests act entitled to do what they want when they want being loud outside in hallways at 6:30am smoking cigarettes almost yelling conversations.Pool empty with trash in it.

Nothing. A homeless shelter is better.

Everything: No internet, no housekeeping, filthy place

Ac wasn't working in my room and room temp was close to upper 90s. Staff at night was extremely helpful and got the AC working and brought me a fan as well. The gentleman who checked me in was spectacular.

Neighborhood was questionable but no issues. Seemed a bit dingy on the outside. Kinda outdated. Tv channels limited. But overall worked for what I needed

Nothing really, it wasn¿t convenient, clean or quiet

The junkies that live in the rooms were horrible. I had to listen to a suicide attempt and people screaming and pounding all night. The room was not very clean, the whole complex in general was in bad disrepair.

Location. Ease of check in

No mattress pad. Bathroom dated but clean.

The lights, TV did not work in the room. The door handle on the bathroom door fell off when we tried to close it. The pool had a foot of sludge in it. Very bad experience!

Price & location

Dirty wash cloth, no remote 4 TV, phone didn't work, even after plugged in. Phone plug for wall was hanging out. Only 1 clean wash cloth. Too tired to change rooms. Showered, Slept & left.

Nothing!!!! Went down hill big time from our last stay. EZ on and off the freeway. The place should not bear the Econ Lodge logo, it is a disgrace.

Room poorly made up,the beds, tears in lampshades, outdoor pool trash in it and around the pool deck, staff smoking right outside the entrance and not friendly either upon arrival nor at checkout. Did not look like room pictures.

The hotel was ok, nothing special.

Very confusing to navigate in the dark. The worst part was there were people in the parking lot smoking pot in their car and the area was by the door so it smelled very badly. So glad I come from a state in which this behavior is illegal.

Nothing will no be back

Everything. Felt outdated. Rooms were very loud felt like your neighbors are in the room with you. Lots of traffic noise. Two queen beds only one towel.

Hot shower

-Motel was dark, behind another motel and parking lot was in disrepair. -Could not park anywhere near my room. - All dbl/ single beds on second floor and stairs were difficult. - Bed was uncomfortable- like sleeping on a box springs - room heater disf

It was quiet and off the interstate. The night manager was nice and friendly. I liked that breakfast was at 5am. Most hotels are at 6 or even at 7am on the weekends. I need to get back on the road early so this was great.
