Set within a 19th-century, Grade II listed building, the American themed Smith and Western Hotel offers unique, individually decorated rooms, just a short walk from the historic Pantiles shopping district. Named after Native American tribes, rooms at the Smith & Western evoke the Old West with bedside lights in the shape of antlers or cowboy boots, and blankets inspired by Native American designs. All rooms have flat-screen TVs with Freeview, coffee machines, and free Wi-Fi. The Smith and Western Restaurant serves classic American dishes as well as international favorites and a hearty cowboy breakfast. It also offers blended cocktails and cold beers. The Smith and Western is 5 minutes’ walk from the center of Royal Tunbridge Wells. The Spa Valley Railway and Tunbridge Wells Railway Station are both within 5 minutes’ drive.

- Place was great but food was average
- Very authentic ,loved the saddles at the bar great Saturday evening and easy access walking distance to town
- The room: clean, spacious, well equipped, good shower. The breakfast, available until 12.00. The friendly, welcoming staff (although with one slightly morose exception in the late evening bar staff). Only 10mins walk to the Pantiles and very close to The Commons for walking. The fact that you can checkout at 12.00.
