The Westin Birmingham

The sink/shower temp was only scorching hot. Even having it hardly on it would be too hot to wash your hands/shower. The front desk knew there were issues with water but still used the rooms. The iron had burnt stuff on it that ruined my pants when used

It advertises restaurants and bar but they were not open at 6 pm

That it was close to the concert

The guy . He was nice nasty . I had just worked a 12 hour shift when I was checking in on Friday . He gave me a room next to the ice machine and a view of the parking deck . I noticed he ask one gentleman how did he like his room . He never ask me

Staff was friendly enough, but didn’t want to take any action. Also no one was around when we first got there and had to call the main line to get a receptionist to the front desk.

The hotel not kept up to 4/5 star rating. Carpet,floors,rooms

Hallway carpets torn up and filthy. Restaurant was shuttered. Definitely not Westin quality, probably will not be one much longer. Rooms had stains on furniture, drapes and sheets.

Very quiet and clean. A lot of restaurant options within and near the hotel.

Accessable to Food and Fun, also easy to navigate through traffic, and close to near by attractions

Parking was confusing and the amount to pay for accessing the parking garage did not seem reasonable per day

Easy quick service. Had all the accessories I needed for the job I had to do. Looks like a great spot for the games and events in the city.

Didn't like the $20 parking fee. I think that should be covered with the room rental.

The outdated television. Had some issues with the heat/ac system

Difficult, deceptive, expensive parking. Horrible staff. (There's free and low cost parking all around the hotel, but they try and get you to pay a ridiculous price to park in a lot that is extremely complicated)

The location was great. Right across from lots of restaurants and the stadium.

The rooms are very outdated for the price and brand. Parking $29-$39 per day.

Location was excellent. Went to the comedy show at BJCC and it was in walking distance.

Yes, there are several things that I didn't like about this hotel. First, the room had an old odor, old carpet, old tub and shower combo and lastly low water pressure and Luke warm shower in the tub.

Within walking distance of everything we needed. Lots of places to eat close by. Decorated cute for the Christmas holiday including a pop up hot chocolate bar called Naughty or Nice. We will be back!

Lack of cleanliness

Kind staff, and the bed was fine.

The bathroom was pretty bad. The ceiling is bubbling and peeling, the wallpaper is peeling from the walls. The shower has mold in the grout and caulk. There is very obvious water damage that needs addressing asap.

There was a large cockroach in the bathroom and the staff refused to do anything about it. When I contacted the front desk manager, he was rude. I requested the number for their corporate office and during that call he hung up on me.

Bad smell, dated room and hallways, etc.
