Pontac Manor Hotel & Restaurant

Breakfast spread was good, the bed was firm and so comfortable that I wanted to sleep in more. The staff was very accommodating and prompt to our requests.

More light at the parking lot.

It's a beautiful, old building; very spacious and comfortable.

The room was hot and the a/c wasn't able to cool it down enough. The breakfast setup was loud.

Atmosphere friendly staff great food .

The hotel won me over in a day! Usually not one for historical buildings I found the hotel warm and homey. Rocky the cat made me feel right at home. The Cattle Baron next door took care of all one's dinner needs and the fillet was exceptional. The scones at breakfast were fantastic.

I did not like the dark dining area but could eat breakfast outside. I did not particularly enjoy carrying my luggage upstairs as there is no elevator.

This is a racist establishment. I made a booking online. When I arrived with my Black partner, we were told the place is fully booked and no rooms are available. I will make it my personal mission to let everyone know this is a racist establishment. If all rooms were full, why did the booking go through on my app. We had to seek accommodation elsewhere. Absolutely shit service for 2025.

Excellent location. Friendly staff. Spacious, comfortable room. Lovely porch with great mountain views. Breakfast was good.

The breakfast was splendid. The staff, especially the Receptionist, were superb - friendly, exceptionally helpful and a great asset for the hotel.

There was nothing that we found to be unpleasant or lacking in any way.

Beautiful old building with an impressive verandah. The bed was very comfortable.

The room and bathroom were dated. The bedroom was rather dark. The bathroom was huge but uninviting.

Everything…location, historic, convenience of a Steak House next door. And they support Paarl Boys High!

I might be a little biased. Paarl is my home town. That said the Pontiac Manor Hotel is very friendly and professional. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. Our evening in the restaurant was very good and popular too. Meal excellent. Breakfast in the morning was good. The hotel is in an excellent position to see historic Paarl with its stunning view of Paarl Mountain.

To be honest no complaints.

Good breakfast spread, great location to restaurants within walking distance, comfortable and spacious room, outstanding view of changing hues on the mountain range in front of hotel during sunrise and sunset.

It’s simply first class. Quiet, lovely grounds, well maintained, and next to an excellent steak restaurant.

No help getting luggage to car

Rooms were spacious. Staff were lovely.

Lighting over the dressing table mirror was poor. Kettle was difficult to plug in because you had to move the table and the lead was short.

Beautiful hotel + adjoining restaurant. Lovely garden. Friendly staff. Breakfast: sufficient/good. Very close to Main street. On the veranda are seats, where you can sit and look out over the surrounding.

Our windown (room 13) leaked (it was raining).

The bed was very comfortable, staff were friendly. Breakfast was nice and satisfying served on a porch with nice garden view, the lobby of the hotel has a nice Victorian ambience, perfect to start your morning. Good wifi connection. Lot of parking is available on spot

This hotel uses regular keys, take my advice and leave your key at the reception. If you lose your key they dont have an extra one. Caused us some problems on our stay.
