    • Breakfast was great, one of the best breakfast buffets I've experienced at a hotel!
    • Rooms a decent size and clean.Hotel a little dated in parts, bar really expensive (£2.50 for a packet of quavers)Breakfast nice, fair selection. Pool good fun, a little worn but nice all the same.

    Cons -

    • Very dirty hotels
    • a bit tired in places, but clean. Coffee at breakfast was horrible, but the rest of the selection was lovely.
    • Decor dated, lack of charging points for EV (Tesla chargers were always full or not working), prices for bar drinks was expensive. Water temp in swimming pool was cold. Lift not working, makes taking cases to and from room fun....

The prices of drinks and snacks at the bar, never any change available for the pool table, witnessing a staff member use the public toilets and leave without washing his hands :(

I liked the location and the fact that you could play games in one of the lounges if you didn’t want to be in the disco. I was worried about the lift being only one and small but it was ok.

The hotel is looking a little dated. Our bathroom door wasn’t easy to close and there was a high step from the shower to the floor. I got a fright coming out of the shower as it was so high. The breakfast wasn’t very good quality. It’s not a four star hotel.

Everting was excellent. Clean room, coffee and tea in the room, pool was worm, food is fresh and delicious

Room clean, warm, nice. Pool and sauna great. Breakfast brilliant. Only read we stayed was the pool

Extremely noisy music ( possibly kids disco/ entertainment) both nights- kept our kid up and others we spoke to. Went on til 9.30/10. He had no interest in disco it did t look busy and most families there for skiing so on early starts. Really put us off.Pool was pretty filthy. ( sides/ changing room). Warning on heated towel that it got v hot wasn’t strong enough - husband scalded arm. Could not be bothered to complain but if that had been a child it would be a hospital job.

The room was spacious enough for my family with a good bathroom. The sofa bed is old but good for a two nights sleep for the kids. The queen bed is very comfortable. They have a kettle, fresh towels and room cleaning everyday. The early morning ski lesson was rather early at 8am so the hotel staff and Alison especially on frontend desk who arranged take away breakfast of crossiants, muffins and fresh fruits. Very kind and generous portion at 7am. The corridor smells great for me but for some it could be a strong smell. The morning hot breakfast is quite generous and fulfilling and seating arrangements are really nice.

I think we came during high peak season due to ski and half term. So the room when handed over had some leftover package from previous customers. But when asked at reception they immediately removed the packaged and hoovered our whole room and changed the sheets. All in all satisfied with their receptiveness and being handed over an immaculate room. Sometimes in rush mistakes happen!!

We had taken our Grandaugter up to avimore to see the polar bear at the Zoo. The hotel is dated but....clean, great comfortable beds, activities when we were there for my grandaughter were fantastic, definitely will come back

To be fair the complex is massive, it would take a huge amount of money to get it up to date and who has got that kind of money? No one...you are correcting faults as soon as...who could ask for anything more.

The pool, small soft play and shop (when open) were good for the kids. This was good for the kids as not much in the local area ourwith the cairngorms for them. The room was fairly comfortable, warm and looked fairly good. Breakfast was decent, good range but could've done with real coffee, given the size and price of the hotel. The hotel itself was very central for Aviemore village centre. The people in the shops around Aviemore were lovely. The Cairngorms were fantastic, snow covered and fun for the kids. Great transport from the lower car park to the top.

The hotel is a bit tired and out of date looking. Particularly in communal areas considering how busy it was. Dogs are everywhere which is commonplace in the country anyway but it was very prevalent. Pretty sure my room was dog friendly which due to allergies left me feeling very choked in the room (I thought I'd checked that it would be dog free). 4pm check-in was outrageous, came do desk at 3.45 and the room wasn't ready, returned at 4 and the queue was literally out the door. Kids were exhausted, didn't get checked in until about 6pm following that and check out is 11. Staff weren't rude but not very pleasant. Overall, I think it as quite overpriced at almost 200 per night, I thought (potentially incorrectly) that I was booking a really nice hotel. If you don't mind not having as many amenities- which did save the review and the kids did enjoy- book the Premier Inn or one of the local b&bs down the road instead.

Loved the friendliness of all the staff and facilities are great for family's

Thought the bar prices were way to overpriced

    4StewartPosted on: 2-16-2026

    Only the bed

Lack of ground maintenance outside icy conditions under foot. The bar was very tacky. Couldn't order food in the building had to go out.Too noisy with kids running around

    Location

Showers in swimming pool terrible, broken sauna seating, hotel room was cold Aviemore block, pillows to soft should have 1 firm and 1 soft, air hockey table broke only 1 pool table nothing for teenagers to do

    7AshleighPosted on: 2-15-2026

It was of a gd quality just dated and room could be doing with the corners cleaned!

Smell of damp in areas and some area needing better cleaning…our bathroom had a build up of dust in corners that just hadn’t been cleaned in ages and carpets were the same not hovered in corners.Pool was gd but water cold!

    10RhodaPosted on: 2-15-2026

Everything. All amenities. Indoor pool with all kids activities. My daughter enjoyed the pool disco. Location was perfect, it was just in the center of the town so very convenient. Overall it was great stay, we will surely be back for longer stay again.

Nothing in major really but I think I could only comment with the breakfast buffet. We have to ask for hot chocolate because it was not served in the buffet and my daughter loves pots of yogurt and hashbrown but this are not in the buffet. I think it’s better to include this for future.

How clean it was & family friendly.

Room allocation. I asked for 2 rooms together. Didn’t get.

    5BarryPosted on: 2-13-2026

Pool and soft play breakfast was ok

Room has damp smell. Gap of 30mm under door heard everything and was basically above reception heard everything from out side and under door . No place to eat in hotel when arrive told to book at other restaurants on site . With a 2 and 5 year old not happy

    10RichardPosted on: 2-12-2026

We were warmly welcomed by Sarah on Reception. Everything was great! We particularly liked the sofa which opened out to two single beds rather than just one (great for kids who don't want to share a bed).

    8LizPosted on: 2-12-2026

Lots to do on resort and easy access to Aviemore itself - staff very friendly

A bit dated, especially dining area and overpriced.

    8LizPosted on: 2-12-2026

Good there was doggie rooms - suited whole family - plenty to do on resort and in Avimore

Thought pool was in actual hotel hadn't realised it was further up the complex - bit pricy - hotel looking dated especially dining area
