Broome Park Hotel

Loved the lodge, very spacious with a good layout. Had the added bonus of a washing machine which came in very handy as it was quite muddy. We enjoyed eating in the bar.

The pool heater was broken so my son was very disappointed at not being able to use the pool for more than 5minutes as it was so cold.

The staff was friendly. The property itself is beautiful with large outdoor spaces and a lot of character. Ample car parking spaces and EV charging point too.

In middle of Feb, for school term break, we booked this place hoping to enjoy the "indoor heated swimming pool" and leisure facility with the kids. The pool heating was broken and the water was freezing cold. We got several emails from hotel before arrival about everything else, but they didnt talk about the broken heating in the pool. The staff kept saying the water would be warm by next morning, but 2 morning went by and the pool was not usable. Overall quite disappointed by the lack of communication and false hope our kids were given about the pool.

The location was amazing and the room was a lovely size and very clean.the staff were friendly and very helpful.

The heater on the swimming pool had broken and then fixed but took over 2 days to warm up so the pool was freezing and not really usable and as this was supposed to be a major part in f our weekend we were very disappointed.

Quiet and spacious cabin

The heating made a lot of noise.

2 members of staff were extremely helpful, the lodges were very spacious, the grounds were well kept.

Pool was freezing, showers in pool were freezing due to issues with their boiler, tea and coffees were not refilled throughout the stay, very little for Children to do during the winter months, the sofas in the lodges were very dirty, cobwebs and extremely dirty black residue around bottom on the windows.

It is a very beautiful property and the grounds were beautiful. Our bedroom and bathroom were very nice and the bar was very cosy as well. The staff at the main reception were both really lovely and friendly.

Our room was very cold in the evening and the heating wouldn’t come on no matter what we did, it did come on at some point in the night so it did get very warm. We also found quite a few rose petals on the floor from a previous guest and there was mould on the window seal. The shower was dreadful and is not designed very well and the water ended up going all over the floor and it never got hot. It also made really loud noises any time you flushed the toilet or turned the taps on I just hope it didn’t disturb any other guests. The restaurant manger didn’t come across as very friendly and she was very abrupt when we were asking about food/dinner, it put us off eating there so we went to a pub down the road. The lady told us at reception that there was an issue with the temperature of the pool so we didn’t get to use that which was a shame.

Great history and felt like you were back in time. Best breakfast the following morning

Bar and Lounge a bit on the cool side but it is a big place to heat and it was cold outside..

Small details only: improve signs leading to entrance to hotel reception (especially in the dark), I was missing a tissue box in the room...

Charming character steeped in history. Comfortable, clean and we loved it! Our only regret was not staying longer

Excellent bed!

A bit dark in places. Could do with a strong light for reading. No shower cap.

The health suite was lacking, pool cold and lining coming away whilst the changing rooms were dirty and lacking maintenance. The breakfast was warm to cold on the Sunday

Loved the location, hotel, bedrooms and most of the staff. The food was delicious.

The swimming pool was out of service for the duration of our stay. There was nothing on the website to pre-warn us. The hotel lobby was extremely cold. The majority of staff were amazing but a couple of people were not and really let their colleagues down. The bedroom was invested with ladybirds and a few spiders that came out to feed. The ladybirds were on our TV, the headboard, coving, pelmets, window ledge. They were everywhere!

Large rooms excellent beds

Lack of communication as indoor pool had no heating also as it was quiet the chef left so unable to get lunch. Not a problem if informed.

My boyfriend and I stay here every anniversary and we love it. All the rooms are beautiful, well decorated and a delight to stay in. The breakfast is good quality, never disappoints.
