It was beautiful and clean Staff very attentive except in dining

We had booked a room with 2 beds and they were unable to accommodate that. During the buffet meals, the tables were not cleared off quickly or stocked with required supplies (utensils/ glasses) and we were left standing with our plates looking for space

The beach was clean.

Room dirty with cockroaches and cigarette butt . Shower head fell out of wall, hit Daughter while showering. Staff friendly with the exception of receptionist who charged daughter $100 to replace her lost plastic key card. Steak restaurant terrible.

LICOR WAS WORSE BRAND I EVER DRINK IN MY LIFE I END BRING MY VODKA AND MY WISKEY THE BARTENDER JOSEPH AT THE POOL HAVE PREFERENCE WITH HIS FRIEND AND NOT POLITE WITH OTHERS AND LET OTHERS PLAY DISRESPECFULL MUSIC NOT FOR KIDS BUT I THINK NEVER CHANGE

Bad experience they need to have a group check encounter. We were the third in line at 11:15 didn’t get checked in until 1215 didn’t get room till 4 o’clock. Need more employees got to room smell like septic room 344 no ventilation in room curtains, brown sheets were stained. Wife got up to get a second plate at dinner and left. Her sunglasses woman came tried to clean the table and luckily my wife came back to tell her. They were saving the table for her and she got nasty with my wife. no enthusiasm with the employees nobody supervising outside garbage all over the place. Nobody picking up Bathrooms soaking wet not enough umbrellas or stay was December 8 to the 11th our real channel restaurant only had three main courses no lobster no shrimp they have shows at night we were in room 344 at 1 o’clock in the morning you could still hear boom boom boom My wife wasn’t feeling well. Our first day waiting for the room. She went to complain about the music in the boom boom boom. They answered that it was the music was to make people happy.Nobody said anything about quiet time when are you supposed to relax?

Water was dripping on the bed from AC. Safe wasn’t working.For restaurant have to wake up for a line and wait until the person en charged come to work at 8 am. You can see a 100 meters line. I went to the inexistent costumer service that was never on his desk. I called and let at least 8 messages in the what’s app number they gave me but nobody help me. I have to sleep 3 days on a bed with dripping water. Unacceptable. Getting out the hotel somebody just called me and said SORRY and good bye.NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE.

The bathroom are always dirty, mostly the shower. It always has mold

Food was good but there was lack of it in the buffet, lots of time had to eat without any protein available

Licor was a cheap quality and bad tasting Lack of protein on every mealThere was roaches in our room we killed a coupleBathtube wasn't working Tedious process to get a dinner reservation in the restaurants AC was freezing We had an issue on our last night we were woken up by the fire alarm past 12 pm wr called the front desk several times with no response to see what was the emercy, agter walking to the front desk there was no one there and a security guard told us they didn't even know the alarm was on, we waited 10 minutes for someone to arrive from the front desk and they told us they didn't know after waiting some more they said someone accidentally activated it.

Property is very big with beautiful gardens.

Resort doesn’t have happy employees especially in the buffet area!!Its doesn’t have water fountain or coffee in the buffet drinks area, every time you asked waiters for water they give you a bad look, it’s same thing with the coffee .I ask to a waitress why they don’t have a pitcher of water or coffee in the table and she told me that it’s that way to give a better service to a customer but in the meantime it’s not a good service.My recommendation is to put water in the beverage area and regular coffee too,like this we all don’t mind to take our drinks instead of ask to get a unpleasant service .Also to get a dinner reservations which is included in the package to a fancy restaurant you have to wake up at 5 am to do a line!!! I didn’t believe when the guy at check in told me, so I went before 7 am to do the line when this guy told us no more room to any of the restaurants!!!!

Splendid location, large property with nice gardens, lots of animals and birds, swimming pools had very good water temperature, kids club was well supplied with lots of games and activities to do, entertainment team very active with fun activities, restaurants provided good variety of of food and tasty food

some minor issues concerning cleaning in the room, there were some dead insects that stayed with us for the duration of our stay though we have signalled this issue. apart from that, our room was always tidied up and clean, but I guest there is a cleaning pattern that just left some corners untouched

There was one night did not have water for one full day , no air conditioning for the same amount of time. The food buffet did not have the variety expected from a five star hotel.

The servers at the restaurant did not look happy. The supply of dishes was not smooth. There were communication issues due to the language barrier. Making a restaurant reservation was difficult. It would be great if there were an easier way to make reservations. The room’s air conditioning did not seem adjustable. The water in the shower did not drain well.

Location is great, clean comfortable room, food wasn't much of the selection unless you ready to queue up at 6:30am to book in to restaurant which is not guaranteed, friendly and helpful staff

Loved the setting, the pool, the walkways

The view was fabulous and the bird sanctuary was amazing.

The bed looked to be over 10 yrs old. The food was ok. We opted to leave the resort to eat in the town of Tambor. So much better.

The steak and seafood restaurant was good

Dirty and old place! The rooms look disgusting, dirty, old, it looked like I was in a hotel from the 80s. I had to ask to change rooms because I found a cockroach in the shower, I also found two bugs in the bed. My family woke up with skin allergies from the bed sheets. The food was not good, only some things tasted good, but mostly of very poor quality.

We have stayed so many times at Barcelo Tambor and we love our rooms, always 321 to 327. The quietude is lovely.

On Saturday night there was a disco which ran very late and was very loud. Also, the children’s show each evening is deafeningly loud. Not good for the children’s ears either.

Nothing, only the view.

A lot of things: no one spoke english, the food was HORRIFIC, they give one bottle of water per room even though we were 2 people in the room, the rooms are old looking, the beach was dirty (full with plastic on the sand), we had to wait a while for the reception to answer our questions.
