The location was close to several eating establishments. Ground floor rooms were directly accessible from the parking.

The room, towels and linens had a musty odor that could be compared to stale cigarette smoke. The desk chair was completely broken and stuffed under the desk which we informed the front desk clerk of the issue. While walking the facility I detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana. As a retired police officer I am very familiar with the odor. There was paper stuffed in the entry door peephole and the door lock appeared to have been damaged at some point. We chose this hotel based on the reviews and were totally disappointed with our experience. We had previously booked a room at this hotel for our return trip which we cancelled based on this most recent stay!

Poppy was great, but they could use a better maintenance crew and cleaning crew

Room was confortable

I had requested several months before check-in to have a ground-floor room close to the associates I was meeting there. I have back issues and had several pieces of luggage that I didn't need to carry upstairs. One of my party made reservations a month after me and was given a ground-floor room. I will not be staying there again next year.
