The customer service was horrible. The moment we got there it was disorganized. They attempted to charge me extra, which made me feel uneasy. Even though I speak Spanish they were not being transparent.

The staff was very friendly and professional. I enjoyed the positive atmosphere, and it was very clean.

I wish we had a refrigerator in the room to keep cold drinks. Also, I did not like paying for extra water.

Courteous staff. Very clean and well kept.

The building (condo) is very old.

Beachfront location was great. Buffet food was always a hit! Entertainment staff was great. Overall a really wonderful stay.

We found a crocodile hiding near the beach and when the experts tried to capture it, it escaped into the water, which restricted ocean swimming for a few days. Wifi was poor in some of the rooms, though if your room was close to reception or the central area, you could get wifi. (Wifi requires frequent signing in, so it's not something you set and forget. You intentionally sign on when you want to use it.) But the reviews were clear that wifi is not a highlight, so we came in with low expectations on that front.

There was no cover except a single sheet on the bed so very unconfortable and cold at night with air blowing over the bed

Staff were exceptional, servers, housekeepers, bartenders,lobby personnel all went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of. Food was OK to pretty good. Not 5 star but better than many other places. We were a little off season but never had to wait in line for a table or hunt for a pool/beach lounger. Might be different in high season. Los Glorias location is midway between the marina and malecon. Fantastic views from the rooftop lounge

Wifi is poor even by Mexico standards. No smart TV, no one goes on vacation to watch TV but we like to watch before bed and not much for English. Bathroom was poorly lit and dated. Tub and caulking both old kinda ugly. Hot water was hit and miss. Both the sink and shower were very slow to drain. As someone else said booking.com photos give you hope for an ocean view. Probably not gonna happen, not many rooms have a direct ocean view. Initially we got a Villa Vallarta view, room was above the lobby entrance. We asked for a better view and they accommodated with a pool/partial ocean view. All negatives were pretty minor details IMO but some might be fussier. Considering the price point I’d call the place great value

The location of the breakfast area was good. I wish there had been a gluten free bread option. The fruit /yogurt was great. The omelette area and the lady was really good and pleasant. The last day was a young man who was not friendly. The young hostess was wonderful. The serving staff was very good as well. We enjoyed the roof top bar staff and the views of the bay.

We had a nice balcony but had to ask for a table and chairs which did appear the next day. The gym was fine but the equipment could use some work and perhaps a couple of different machines. Why have just a quad (leg) machine and no hamstring machine?

Good spot, staff was friendly economical.

The worst experience!

My wife and I came as a honeymoon and the service since we got there was awful staff seem in a bad mood al the time no customer service at all,we requested a beachfront room and it was not provided we stayed in a room were u can hear all the construction going on in the building including in the beach so we had no relax time at all, there was no internet at all on the rooms only in the lobby and the lights kept going out at the time of check out they were extremely rude that non of the employees helped with the luggage to my car I felt discriminated

My wife and I stayed at Plaza Pelicanos Grand Beach Resort All Inclusive from July 23rd to 29th, and we left extremely disappointed, especially considering we booked this trip a year in advance.The first room we were given looked nothing like the photos on the hotel’s website. It had a cracked bathtub, dirty curtains, and absolutely no beach or mountain view, just a direct view of an construction site. When we asked to be moved due to the misleading listing, we were told no due to booking with booking.com. Only after the bathtub stopped draining completely were we moved to a second room.That second room was an improvement, but it still had the same construction view. We tried to make the best of it, until we found a cockroach crawling on our ceiling. When we reported it, the hotel sent a maid with a broom to knock it down. We asked again to be moved and were told we had to wait until the next day to speak to customer service.The only truly positive part of our stay was Astrid at customer service, who was kind, professional, and did everything she could to make things right. The maids were also consistently polite and hardworking. Unfortunately, most of the other staff made us feel like we were more of an inconvenience than guests, which was upsetting given how much time and money we invested into this trip.We don’t leave bad reviews lightly, but we felt this was necessary. Travelers deserve transparency and to be treated with basic respect, this resort did not deliver either.A family member even heard one of the staff say that we as a group we very entitled, look, if all five rooms had one issue or several, it’s time to look at yourself.

Pepe at the pool bar was amazing! Super nice and accommodating.

The woman at the front desk with the mole on her face (She hid her nametag when she interacted with me because she was so rude that she knew I would likely report her). She forced us to pay an extra $300 at check-in for our teenage daughters, even though it was stated on the booking that we had two 17-year-old kids! She wouldn't even let them sleep in the room without paying more. Then I had to try to negotiate for three hours, just like I was at some timeshare presentation. They wouldn't refund our money, so we could go somewhere else. So we had no choice. It was either lose our money or pay more. We were basically held hostage. Worst travel experience I have ever had!

Loud, and dated accommodations. The check in staff did not communicate the amenities and the WiFi did not work in the rooms.

Small resort at the start of where Las Glorias beach becomes decent. Decent food. We were looking for an affordable AI in the hotel zone - this place meets the test.

Staff was mostly indifferent - something I’ve never seen at a resort in Mexico. Tipping didn’t improve service at all. Cumbersome cheque issuing process at the restaurant where you have to sign (even as part of the AI program). Almost no drink service around the pool & beach. Towels were threadbare & hard to come by in the room.
