Super 8 by Wyndham Bedford

Pros +

• Safety. Quietness. Comfort. Cleanliness.
• Room, bed and bathroom were clean. Convenient to my destination. OK for a one-night crash pad. Royal Farms and Hardees across the street.
• It was a basic decent breakfast. Waffles, oatmeal, grits, bagels, toast, fruit, yogurt and cereal. Coffee and tea also provided. Beds have been recently upgraded and are super comfortable now. This is my second stay at this location and the beds left much to be desired last time. The owners are definitely putting work into the building and rooms, and I honestly look forward to seeing the next round of improvements.This is a safe, secure, budget friendly hotel with comfortable beds.

Cons -

• There were used towels and food left in refrigerator from previous guests. paint peeling from ceiling in bathroom.
• Cheap construction. Noise from neighboring room. No elevator, not handicapped accessible to second floor. TV picture quality very poor. Odor of cigarettes. 2 light bulbs burned out. Basic continental breakfast, no coffee after 10 am. Price was $83 after taxes...on the high side of what I would expect.
• While they have updated beds, the rooms still need some work. Ours was a non smoking room, but smelled of stale cigarette smoke. There is mildew on the shower ceiling but I didn't speak to the desk as I know it's a work in progress.
